I’ve bought the @rianjohnson camera app. Love the images, don’t love the app.
Luckily I’ve been making my own camera app (Shutter) and added a similar look so I can use it with a much better interface. Btw it shoots video too

So I recently badgered my cinematographer @steveyedlin into making my ideal iPhone still camera app. It shoots RAW, bypasses the iPhone's look processing and instead uses the same image processing we use on our movies. apps.apple.com/app/apple-sto…
Rest In Peace, Maestro Blomstedt. We are grateful for what you brought to our musical lives. You'll be missed...

Apple’s second-generation touch-screen MacBook Pros are coming next year with M7 Pro and M7 Max chips and new AI hardware capabilities. Apple is also planning an entry-level 14-inch M7 MacBook Pro with the thinner design and slimmer bezels of the new high-end models.
Power On: Apple finally delivered the touch-screen MacBook Pro but it missed a chance to be revolutionary (here’s why I’m excited regardless) bloomberg.com/news/newslette…

Let's see if this is better than NoFusion, which has become my default iPhone camera app for the past year.
The Guardian seems to be the first major media who reported this: theguardian.com/music/2026/o…

Going through the archives, and I seem to have spent most of my professional career asking Apple to put a touchscreen on a Mac. The answers gradually shifted from “Nope” to evasive laughter.
October 2021, a guy named John Ternus told me:

Apple Responds: “We are aware of an issue impacting the inner display on a small number of iPhone Duo units. If users experience issues with their iPhone Duo display, they should contact AppleCare for a replacement.”
NEW: iPhone Duo screen-cracking issue is real. Apple hasn’t given stores or customer service representatives guidance but the company is investigating. Several people have sent me images and stories of their new $2000 device breaking within hours. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Ricoh released new firmware 1.20 for the GR IV and firmware 1.10 for the GR IV Monochrome just as many mod versions of firmware 1.11 have been coming out lately. The new versions do have one really crucial feature which theoretically saves battery life: Now you can turn wireless communication off when you turn the camera off.

Remembering the inspiring cellist Jaqueline du Pré who died #otd in 1987. I had the good fortune to hear her in person several times and her sound and expression inspired me in my quest to become a cellist. Her performance of Elgar Cello Concerto is unparalleled. #music #cello
