This👇 is true. Immigration became a much bigger factor in the memory. I voted leave, and didn’t care that much about that topic either way at the time, and it wasn’t something I remember being mentioned by anyone else I knew who voted leave.
There is a wrong perception immigration was the main reason people voted leave. In fact, deciding our own laws was far more important. The reset means the EU will unilaterally decide many UK laws. And we're going to pay for the privilege. It's not going to go down well. …

I wouldn’t say that happened to you, as such…

The guy in the photo on the left’s going: “How can I hate women? My mum’s one.”
This photo is killing me because this is such a clear improvement. Like if I pretend I don’t understand the racism here, this could read as pro American propaganda

Took me a moment to realise these are two different stories.

Why is the 5G in London so much worse than the rest of the country?

Lots of people who get in trains, clearly anxious that they might be getting on the wrong service, ask fellow-passengers: ‘Is this the train to [X]?’ Why don’t they have their destinations / departure times clearly visible on the outside of each carriage?

Another pathetic attempt to coax Robin Hood out of hiding.

That man must be speaking in tongues because I understood him.

The greatest thing about this England / altitude discourse is the number of X users who think they’ll have thought of something that St. George’s Park won’t have.

People need to understand that any tax you raise says “I want less of this thing”. Income taxes: “I want less working”. Business taxes: “I want less business”. VAT: “I want fewer purchases of goods and services”.

Surely if EVERYONE thinks England are overrated, then…

It seems to me that the Zadie Smith who wrote Intimations is not at all the same person as the Zadie Smith who wrote Dead and Alive. What’s changed in those five (?) years? Moving back to London?
