Japanese milling industry sources estimate U.S. #wheat imports will fall by 50% within a few years after CPTPP starts 12/31/18. Trade negotiations can help find a way to stop this. bit.ly/2UwJ9WW #USWheat #agexportscount
U.S. #wheat exports to Japan will be at serious risk under CPTPP, setting up a catastrophic loss of sales in the next couple years that would depress farm gate prices even more. bit.ly/2UwJ9WW #USWheat #agexportscount

Here's what USDA's 845 million bushel U.S. #soybean carryout looks like compared with the previous 22 years. The highest forecast that I could find was 655 mln bu in June 2006 for 2006/07 (ended up at 574 mln bu - current record). Second largest final was 536 mln in 85/86.

U.S. farmers and ranchers rely on #trade to compete in the global market. Every $1 billion of exports requires approximately 8,100 American jobs, meaning farm exports support nearly 1.1 million full-time jobs nationwide. #FarmBillFacts #HouseAg
