I admire Savage’s honesty and he’s under no illusion he has to do well here. He’s a 100% kind of guy anyway, but I know he’ll give us that. If he gets us playing as well as well as he talks, then we’re on to an absolute winner #pufc
I was also a big fan of how he’s looked at the current psychological state of the squad and would absolutely back up where we are. He seems like he genuinely cares, this will only bode well going forward and if they can buy into what he wants, that can only be a good thing #pufc
It’ll come as no surprise to those that have listened to him before, but Savage does talk well. I can’t fault him for that. What I also can’t fault is that he’s absolutely done his homework on us too, I rate that a lot. That gives you a solid foundation #pufc
You know what, it’s nice to see a buzz around match day on a Saturday. It’s been a while. I’m still sceptical on Savage’s appointment being based on football and whether personalities will eventually clash, but like all managers/players, I’ll always give a chance and back #pufc

Club Statement on the future of FGR manager Robbie Savage
FGR Chairman Dale Vince said: “We have given Robbie Savage permission to speak to Peterborough.
He wanted to leave the club for personal reasons, reasons which we understand and respect.
He’s been offered the job, and we’re now in a negotiation with Peterborough on the terms.
We wish Robbie the very best.”
