This might be a good occasion to remind you that I've mostly moved to Mastodon some time ago and you might want to follow me there 🙃 flausch.social/@piegames
Unfollowing a bunch of folks here, nothing personal. If you have a Mastodon account, please link it in your profile so that fedifinder.glitch.me/ may find it, I'll follow you there then.
Also now is a good time to archive all your data while the services are still running …

Why should the AI alignment problem be prioritized when the human alignment problem is still open, with little recent progress?
We already have a paperclip maximization machine.
We call it capitalism. It causes people to maximize individual wealth at the expense of all else.

The best side effect of my comics about bun sightings (xkcd.com/1871) is that every spring, whenever my friends see a cute baby rabbit in their yard, they send me photos.
They’re always adorable, but I think this one, from Kelsey Harris, is my absolute favorite.

For the past month, I've experienced coordinated harassment via 4chan on one of my GitHub repos. Yes, the platform I work on. Doing much better after taking time off & getting support from my circle. 💜 I'm ready to share my experience, so here it is: tinykat.cafe/on-all-that-fuc…
