Proud this has reached over 125 sponsorships. Convention must pass this reso, which ties our immediate tasks to an electoral offensive for city council supportive of Zohran but openly and explicitly struggling around an independent radical program not limited by his compromises

Police union just spent another $500,000 to reelect Bass. They have now spent $6.1M on Bass. Imagine what they want in return.

It’s so funny how clever she is with word choice. Not work with Hopkins, “worked with some people from Hopkins,” who did not produce something but “demonstrated” you “can” do something. Nice job Holmes it didn’t help in the end though

As a grown man I no longer have ‘nightmares’, where I’m scared by something, but rather ‘sadmares’, which cause me to wake up filled with an incredible and inexorable sense of melancholy and loss

At B&R’s 2026 convention, we voted to join the draft for and support an AOC presidential campaign. We believe her campaign has the potential to build the labor movement, the student movement, and DSA.

Insane how this isn’t even satire for a lot of the freaks on this website. Theyre literally just saying this:

Me, a Republican: mmm the fact that he has multiple child rape accusations do make me suspicious, of the victims of course. The children probably collaborated or something

The concept of a three-hour documentary in its second weekend outgrossing a DC film in its opening weekend…I actually love it…
“You Can See Everything” could collect a staggering $20 million to $25 million at the box office this weekend as it expands to 2,600 venues. That number could give "Clayface" a run for its money. The DC Studios release has projections of $25 million to $35 million. variety.com/2026/film/box-of…

He’ll still have a food truck. It just won’t be capital. What’s wrong with that?
Socialists talk about capitalism like every business owner inherited a factory and a monocle. Sometimes it’s a guy with a food truck who would quite like to keep the food truck.

trump *will* attempt to self-coup, pending a serial change in attitude (which isn't impossible), but i severely doubt he has the capacity to succeed. on the other hand, the opposition is extremely cowardly and impotent so we've really got a stoppable force vs. a movable object

Seems like a lotta people are being confronted with concepts like “creative nonfiction” and “the inherent subjectivity of the camera” and “documentary’s slippery relationship with Truth” for the first time. The good news is YCSE is actually a solid intro to all of that stuff.

ah great some more marx hadith scholarship because nobody wants to admit the main point which isn't an item of rhetoric but that labour exists as a social relationship not an inherent aspect of individuated human beings. great job left twitter
It is important to note that Marx, as his writings matured, seemingly abandoned the labor abolition rhetoric altogether and instead settled with advocating only for the abolition of wage-labor in specific, presumably because the former framing was needlessly confusing

Thank you so much for writing this. Have been really confused by people suggesting that there is some moral or cognitive strength in not having empathy toward someone preparing to spend a decade incarcerated.

been discouraged by the conversation about YCSE. people who left the movie feeling saddened that elizabeth holmes is in prison are not "marks." they are people who glimpsed how cruel prison is even at its most palatable, even when used to cage the least sympathetic person

I hate this trend because in the movie Billy is extraordinarily excited because this moment reveals an effective truth about how Holmes engages with words (or, less charitably, because he wants to affirm the narrative of her being incapable understanding what she did)
Nathan: 10 monkeys were jumping on the bed, one fell off and bumped his head. Now there are 9 monkeys jumping on the bed. Do you get it? Holmes: is it like, cause the monkeys should be asleep? Nathan: it’s a cautionary tale Holmes: oh I didn’t get it Billy: turn the cameras off
