South African Kirsten Neuschafer has become the first woman to win a solo, round the world yacht race after winning the 2022 Golden Globe Race.
After 235 days at sea, she crossed the finish line off Les Sables d’Olonne in France at 9pm on 27 April - Freedom Day in SA.
