Something interesting about this whole piracy debate is that many Japanese are trying to impose their moral standards on the rest of the world, yet their arguments just boil down to appeals to Japanese law. Japanese law isn't a universal moral authority. If you want people outside Japan to accept your position, you need to actually defend it on moral grounds, not point to what your government has deemed illegal.
