A podcast does not have to look like two people sitting across from each other. It can be trivia. Comedy. Storytelling. A panel. A demonstration. A workshop. A live interview. A performance followed by a conversation.

If microphones are capturing something worth hearing later, you can start thinking about it as podcast content. That is one of the reasons we built a podcast theater. We wanted creators to have room to experiment with formats that do not fit around a desk.

You do not have to be a podcaster to create a live podcast. If you teach, coach, or have expertise people want to learn from, you already have the raw material for a show. A live podcast could be an interview, workshop, panel or conversation around what you know

A repeatable format gives the audience something to come back to and gives the creator a chance to improve each time. You do not have to build the perfect show on night one. Build something you can learn from and do again. #PodcastEvents #CreatorCommunity

There is a difference between recording a podcast and creating an event. An episode gives people something to listen to later. An event gives them a reason to show up now.

People can experience the show in the theater while viewers watch from another city, another state or another country. You get the energy of a real room without limiting the event to the number of chairs in it. We think of this as an infinite seat theater.

One of the things we love about a live podcast theater is combining a physical stage with the reach of the internet. Distance does not have to stop you from booking the right person for your show. The stage can be local while the conversation is global.

Podcasting creates a strange kind of relationship. Someone may listen to you every week for years and you may never know their name. A live show changes that. Suddenly the podcast is not just something in their headphones. It is something they belong to.

A stage makes you think differently about your podcast. How do you open the show? When does the guest come out? Is there a visual element? Does the audience participate? Where are the natural breaks? How do you end? How will you open your show?

A single event can give you the full audio episode, a video episode, short clips, photos, quotes and behind-the-scenes content. The important part is to plan for it before the show starts. When the cameras are already rolling, your live show can become a content engine.

When you record your podcast live in front of an audience, they become part of the show. The room helps you make a better episodes because you are finding out what works and what doesn't in real time! #Poduty101 #LivePodcasting #PodcastTips

A smaller audience that cares about your show can be incredibly powerful. 20 people willing to come see you live is as valuable as 5000 downloads Do not wait until your podcast is huge. Start with the people who already listen and give them a new way to participate.

You don't need to be a famous podcaster or have millions of downloads. In fact, that's the point. If you've figured something out that could help another independent creator, we want to give you the stage to share it. 🎤 Present live or submit a pre-recorded presentation.

Great monthly speakers may also be fast-tracked for consideration at the larger Pod 4 Life conferences. Small creators have big ideas. Let's hear yours.
