Pointer Basketball

FINAL! The Pointers get a big 4th down stop to secure the 21-14 W over Mt. Home!

Congratulations to Coach McKinzie on being inducted into the Gravette High School Hall of Honor! Turns out all of those stories I’ve heard over the years about his high school days were true. He’s a Gravette Lion legend! Congrats Coach Kin on your induction, well deserved.

Following his 39-yard TD catch last week, Malachi Henry used sign language to say, "Jesus loves you." "I'm a man of faith -- that's the most important thing in my life," he told me today. "I'm trying to steward the platform that God has given me with the celebrations that I do, and I just wanted to relay that message that Jesus loves you." "Did you just learn to sign that, or do you know more?" I asked. "That's about the extent of what I know so far," Malachi said with a laugh. Henry's had a big impact on UC's 4-0 start. In addition to his TD catch, Malachi has a 36-yard punt return, has completed a pass on a fake punt, and knocked down two players with a great downfield block on Cole Tabb's game-winning TD run vs Miami.

📣 Knights Nation, please welcome 6-5 Freshman wing Gabe Johnson from Van Buren, AR! 📣 “I chose SC because of the faith-based culture, the great environment of the team & the winning culture that Coach Livezey has built. I am pumped to get to work & excited for what's ahead”

Anthony Edwards said it perfectly: “Greatness is boring.” It’s doing the same things over and over. The reps. The work. The discipline. The standard. Especially on the days you don’t feel like doing it. That’s where greatness is built.
