Xavi Espart will be seven weeks out. Woof.

The week that grounded Barcelona. Flick and the lack of “freshness”, the PSG rotations and the 26 lost balls between Rodri and Pedri at the Clasico. Seven days to get some air for Barça now. @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7726038…

Not a memorable performance from Barça. Too sloppy on the ball and giving possession away in dangerous areas, which allowed Madrid to run. Don't think Cancelo at right-back helps balance this team, but the game was mostly in a better place for Madrid and what they expected.

Timely moment for Pedri to show up. Ruthless finish from Raphinha. Barça had not look this shaky at the Camp Nou in a while. But now the game is there to grab by the neck.

Xavi Espart is down injured. Alejandro Balde ready to come in. Cancelo will move at RB.

Lovely night for it

Flick’s preferred line-up for the Clasico. No surprises. Cancelo LB, Espart RB. Rodri-Pedri back in midfield, Gordon stays ahead Adeyemi. Interesting choice from Mourinho with Bernardo Silva.

Barça's result at the Parc des Princes will not go down in the club's history books. Xavi Espart's performance, however, certainly will. @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7709980…

De punterot. El que li faltava a Lamine Yamal.

Xavi Espart: what a performance lad.

Surely not what Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Joan Laporta discussed when shaking hands after lunch

Rodri and Fermín López start on the bench. Gerard Martin starts.

Huge blow for Barça as club confirm injuries for Eric Garcia and Jules Kounde. Eric will miss between three and four weeks. Out for both PSG and Real Madrid. Kounde might be available for Madrid.

Quina bogeria.

Lamine Yamal is in the best form he’s been in a while. We’ll just enjoy it. Piece from Istanbul here. @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7688228…

FT, Galatasaray 1-4 Barça. Excellent win by Flick's men, fuelled by an outstanding Lamine Yamal in the second half. Three goals in 15 minutes decided the game, with Yamal involved in all of them. Galatasaray scored first and the Catalans had to dig in. But that's the UCL.

Adeyemi 1-4 Barça at their deadliest best. Again, all starting with Lamine Yamal in the right wing. Switches to Gabriel Jesus, who fails to control the ball, but Adeyemi smashes it in.
