The peace and contentment you seek already exists within you.
In fact, the more you search for it outside, the further you get away from this peace and contentment.

You want to stop certain thoughts that disturb you from arising. You try to control them but simply can't.
Why can't you control your mind? In fact, in the very act of controlling it, you worsen the problem.

Lao Tzu, the founder of Taoism, had the habit of going for a walk every morning.
He would walk in silence and enjoy the trees, the birds, the morning breeze.
He used to take a different student along with him each day, but on ONE condition.

You can't point a finger to the location of the mind.
The mind is not a physical object, it is an occurrence.
This one sentence above has profound implications on how we perceive ourselves.

You need to forgive people for your own benefit; not theirs.
Chances are you carry their misdemeanour in your head more than they do in theirs.

At the end of the day, don't forget to Let Go.
▪️ Let go of today
▪️ Let go of all negative emotions
▪️ Let go of all tension in the body
▪️ Let go of expectations from tomorrow
Attachment to any particular experience is a trap in your spiritual journey.
Experience. Act. Move on.

Once upon a time, a man got really weary of the daily grind.
Never ending responsibilities.
Impossible deadlines.
One problem after another.
One day just blurred into the next.
He approached an old Zen master for guidance 👇

Overthinking is a disease.
Sadly, we have normalised overthinking to such an extent, we don't even recognise it.
Meditation in a closed, safe environment is easy.
But it is your dealings with people in the outside world that is a true indicator of your progress in the spiritual journey.
Everything goes away.
Nothing stays forever.
Hence, you own nothing. It is all on rent.
When you forget this, you create your own suffering.
Overthinking is a disease.
