Love slams doors and breaks things. Love bombs you with unwanted gifts. Love calls you names. Love asks to change your outfit. Love makes you share your location. Love controls the purse strings. Love kills two women a week. Love is not love when there are red flags.

Jesus dealt with women’s issues. This story gives insight and example for us today in listening to women. Giving safe space to women to voice their story, to remove shame and stigma, heal and restore their dignity and freedom. #16DaysOfActivism #EndViolenceAgainstWomen

Gender stereotyped behaviour socialises men to be tough and strong. Courageous. Domineering. To push down emotion except anger, and to show no fear. This produces a fertile ground for men to be controlling, dominant and violent towards women. #16DaysOfActivism
