Shoutout to Libby for getting this scoop, she’s an amazing reporter. Can’t wait to see the coverage she gets out moving forward on the conference change!

Nice coming-out party for second-year JMU WR Miles Halbert today; he’s got a blocked punt returned for a TD and 44-yard TD reception.
He was also pretty electric in high school as well with some video game-like numbers ⬇️

Lucky to say I got to cover his junior and senior season at JMU.
Also, throwback to this story I wrote during his junior season. Probably the most fun I’ve had writing a feature👇

Somehow, absurdly, Vikings UDFA safety Jacob Thomas stayed overlooked through it all. Not anymore:

The memo sent to all teams:
Sources: The NFL will provide clarity to clubs later today regarding league rules governing player eligibility that have been in place and remain unaltered. A player that goes back to college this season will be prohibited from signing with an NFL team this year.
A player signed to an NFL contract who is subsequently cut is a free agent. He may sign with another NFL club, the CFL or return to college, but that player is considered a free agent and will not be subject to a future draft.
