Gridlock would largely freeze current policy. But structural problems persist: geopolitical instability, AI risks and, in particular, a massive and growing debt burden that could fuel inflation. These forces will make asset owners richer and the rest poorer.

I worked my ass off and finally found one honest to God edge and it's only worth about 3% per year. 😭😭😭

@macrocephalopod is telling the truth even though it is hard for many aspiring systematic traders to hear. It is very difficult. You need capital. It is a dead end and a waste of time for many and stubbornness is your worst enemy.
"The EU urges citizens to prepare emergency survival kits with supplies to last 72 hours.
Case 1: Attempt to boost aggregate demand.
Case 2: You don't need them; it will be quick.
Use of "expectancy" is a red flag. When used for a single trade, it is when all alarms go off. I have 10 probability and statistics books, and there is no such "expectancy" term in them. There is expectation, but those who skipped the real courses don't know what it means.

the idea of "calculating a stop loss" is nonsense as well
there should only be two reasons to hack out of a trade that you thought had positive expectancy at even less good prices than current prices (since it's going against you)
1) margin/value at risk concerns that changed

This could actually be great since Portland to Seattle by car takes anywhere from 2 1/2 hours to 4 days.
And having high speed rail to Vancouver, the second largest US city in the Northwest, would be very nice.
Glad we are spending $50 million to study this.
Seattle Could Get a 250 MPH Bullet Train Connecting the City to Portland and Vancouver in Just One Hour!
Washington could be getting a major transportation upgrade! WSDOT is studying a proposed high-speed rail system connecting Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver, B.C., with trains potentially reaching speeds of 250 MPH and cutting travel times from over three hours to around one hour each way from Seattle. The project has received nearly $50 million in federal planning funding, with studies continuing through 2028. No construction date has been announced.
Would you take a bullet train from Seattle to Portland or Vancouver?

This is true although it was Cantonese. There was this mad rush to learn Mandarin before 1997 in Hong Kong. I really struggled.

Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

Anyway...for perspective. What you traded made a big difference. More nimble funds have a huge execution advantage.
Today they approved stock perpetual futures. Crypto accelerated everything. Stock markets compete with crypto now for volume and will break, which will be a self-fulfilling prophecy of the crypto crowd.

$BTC I wouldn't be shocked to see another dip down. Most likely the crypto market has entered a high fragility regime. I hope not. I know people who have pinned their hopes and dreams on crypto. But the charts are bearish.
