called with @samgrows a few days before this launch in the middle of the call i realized it wasn't chrome, it was the algrow desktop app you can create "spaces" inside the app and train each one as a youtube homepage, so it only shows you one specific niche and that's just one of the things you can do in the algrow desktop app really cool
Introducing Algrow Desktop, a new way to research YouTube. Out today on Mac and Windows, free with every plan. And you can now try it for $1. Unlike the MCP, the agent isn't stuck inside Algrow's data. It browses YouTube itself, live. It opens a real tab, searches, scrolls the feed, clicks into channels, and you can watch it live. Each agent works in its own space with its own YouTube account, so each one learns a different corner of YouTube. One for your main channel, one for a format you want to try, one for a topic you're curious about. Run as many as you want and they never mix. The MCP can't see your feed. This can. It still has everything the MCP has. Every Algrow search, every channel, every title format but with higher limits. And every video it finds on YouTube comes with Algrow's data: how fast it grew, similar subjects, similar formats, which channels are like it, why it did better than the channel's usual. No setup. If Claude is on your machine, it's already connected. It runs on your own Claude plan, so there's no extra AI bill.

how i'd turn an AI avatar channel into recurring revenue: > channel builds the audience (cooking, gardening, whatever the niche is) > the offer isn't a pdf, it's a monthly subscription > subscribers get a chat app or website with the channel's persona > they ask for recipes, send their dishes for feedback, get help with anything in the niche > it replies like a real conversation (small AI disclaimer) API costs are really low, so the margin is huge and it makes more sense than a one-time ebook, because people keep coming back to the thing that keeps helping them the avatar channels already have the trust. this just gives that trust something to subscribe to could run through whatsapp, imessage, messenger, wherever they already are what do you think?

the faceless youtube money ladder: > adsense > a $17 to $47 digital product under every video > upsells the video is the lead magnet. the product is the business

not every niche can sell an ebook news audiences watch and leave how-to audiences buy: recipes, golf swings, fixing stuff pick the niche for the product, not just the views

why AI avatars sell ebooks better than faceless channels: people want advice from a person even when it says AI on the screen a 70 year old trusts a grandma explaining a recipe more than a voiceover on stock footage

paste a youtube link into frontier it studies the edit and builds that look as your own style your next video comes out looking like that, without copying their name, voice or face

weird thing about AI avatar channels operators keep saying they hit 1,000 subs before 4,000 watch hours normal faceless channels are the other way round people subscribe to a person, even an AI one
