May piss off some folks with this one. Black women take your capes off. We are gonna sit quietly and let folks fight their own battles and we are gonna focus on our own for the next 4 years.

i'm currently working on my first program from one of the new community gardens and it's called "little buggers". i'll be taking kids around the garden to identify beneficial vs harmful bugs, help them create a natural bug spray, and do some cool craft activities. 🥹👩🏽‍🌾 🐞

BIG NEWS, Y’ALL BOI 🎉 I’m beyond thrilled to finally share that I’m writing my first cookbook, “From the Roota to the Toota,” with the incredible @4colorbooks, @bryantterry, and @jauneclaire! 🍽️ This book is a love letter to our southern roots, our heritage, and the stories we tell through food. It’s been nearly 3 years in the making, and I couldn’t have done it without the unwavering support of my amazing book agent @sallyekus and the brilliant team at @jvnlainc. Your belief in me and this project kept me going, and I am forever grateful. This journey has been and will be a labor of love, and I can’t wait to bring you along for the ride. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this! Set your alarms, mark your calendars, and get ready to cook with me when “From the Roota to the Toota” drops in 2027. 🚀 Stay tuned for sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes moments, and more as we get closer to launch. Trust me, you’ll want to be first in line for *”From the Roota to the Toota”*—it’s GAME TIME 💪🏽 #FromTheRootaToTheToota #CookbookAnnouncement #FoodCulture #Coming2027 #cookbook #bookannouncement #southcarolina #blackchefs #gullahgeechee #lowcountry #southernfood

We got from left to right: onions, bay leaves and garlic. Then cucumbers, tomatoes, bay leaves and garlic. Then lastly, just onions and garlic! I’m so excited to try them!
Quick. I’m pickling my own onions. Any other spices or veggies you think I should add?
