Excuse me? The Justice Department represents the United States—not Stephen Miller personally. Its job is to enforce the law, not provide a political appointee with a personal legal shield.
Blanche knows that distinction. He acknowledged it in his own Senate testimony. Now he seems perfectly comfortable blurring it when Miller is the one who might need defending.
It is going to be a rough 2 years.
