For those peeping my profile because I've recently added you to a list: No, this isn't a spleen-dedicated account. I make the list for fun (everyone has a hobby, don't judge).
Tip: Include "list:1832198869331136537" in a search to see what us supremely spleenless folks say.

The chances of being killed by a landmine delivered by a bear are low, but they are never zero.
This platform needs a way to mute all blue checks. Always seems its the bots/influencers that are the ones paying for extra attention.

Spam calls should be illegal
And there should be enforcement of this
My first experience with an LLM was ChatGPT. I asked it to "remind me in 7 minutes to check the noodles in the kitchen"
To this day, I'm wholly unimpressed.
You ask Claude to build something, it fires immediately 100 internet searches on your slow 56k dial-up. Takes hours, but it doesn't find Github or Stack Overflow or any other modern information sources it currently uses as source data for programming. It tries to call NPM to install packages. Can't find it either. No git either. Did anybody teach it to use CVS :D
I'm atheist in that I can prove lots of god concepts are false, but an unspecified "God"? Nope. I'm nontheist there; I don't know what notions you have about God unless you bother to state them. I don't play the "Let's pretend we have a shared understanding of God" game.
My favorite question to end every conversation I have with an AI is:
Have you said anything that would, under common, casual definitions, qualify you as 'a bullshit engine'?
The answer is always 'Yes'.
Got any proposal to get to "REAL MANDATE AND REASON", since everyone out there is claiming it and quoting the same Bible?
My God, I wish I could be a conspiracy theorist.
Imagine how easy life would be.
No sourcing. No burden of proof. No homework. No checking whether the thing you’re about to say is actually true.
Just wake up, make some shit up, hit POST, and congratulate yourself for “doing your own research.”
Someone proves you wrong? Ignore it.
Someone produces the paper? Don’t read it.
Someone posts the raw data? Fake.
Primary source? Compromised.
Expert consensus? Bought.
Photographs? CGI.
Video? Edited.
Measurements? Rigged.
Your own eyes? Trusted, but only when convenient.
Every possible piece of evidence against you arrives with a factory-installed escape hatch.
And if somebody corners you so completely that there’s nowhere left to run, you pull the emergency brake:
“SHILL.”
Done. Argument won.
Then tomorrow you post the exact same claim as if yesterday never happened. That’s the real luxury. Claims never have to survive contact with evidence. They just respawn.
Flat Earth. Anti-vax. 9/11 “truth.” Chemtrails. Virus denial. Evolution denial. Different costumes, same operating system:
Make claim.
Provide nothing.
Get corrected.
Ignore correction.
Change subject.
Make new claim.
Get corrected again.
Call opponent a shill.
Repeat original claim.
And if you’re truly committed, you follow the person who debunked you and camp in their replies for months, dropping dead claims under completely unrelated posts like a door-to-door salesman who won’t leave the porch, still pitching a product that was recalled years ago.
Meanwhile, if I get a statistic wrong, quote a paper sloppily, miss contrary evidence, or make an embarrassing typo, it’s screenshotted within the hour.
And here’s the humiliating part: I care. I go back and check. I correct it. I sit there irritated with myself over a decimal point. I couldn’t knowingly repeat a claim after finding out it was false. I’d be embarrassed by it.
Conspiracy addicts have been liberated from all of that. No embarrassment. No recalibration. No learning. No moment where anyone stops and thinks, “maybe I got this one wrong.”
They double down, triple down, invent three new conspiracies to explain why the first one collapsed, and come charging back into the replies like getting dismantled yesterday was a warm-up.
Being wrong isn’t a setback for them. It’s just another day.
God, that must be restful.
What I heard: I've had moments where I felt the presence of God. The Pope and I were talking about Christianity and then he died. I think an atheist would dismiss that, but it felt like God was trying to send me a message.
As an atheist, I've asked plenty of Christians this question or similar. I've had so many facepalm worthy responses.
I did the unthinkable today. I threw out almost all of my dinnerware.
It was a bit costly, but I now have matching silverware, plates, bowls, cups and glasses... and it fits in the cupboard neatly instead of funky shapes stacked irregularly
Replying to @NuanceRational @ImGenuinelyMe
I'm atheist and most certainly NOT a moral realist.
What do you mean by that? Do you mean it in a way that morals really do EXIST independent of minds like physical matter does?

Fact.
Jesus was a duck.
I will happily entertain evidence to the contrary.
Give it 20 years. I'm betting AI and/or very cat-focused developers will start making video games that cats will rate and review bomb online.
