Ten computer codes that transformed science. FFT, FORTRAN, BLAST.....have been so useful to me in the past! Looking forward to the next ten codes ;-) nature.com/articles/d41586-0…
For the first time ever last night I managed to get some Aurora from the top of the Law! The nuclear bright moon washed out most of the stars and it was quite cloudy but I managed to get this bit just over the top of the Sidlaws :-) @dundeecity @WindyWilson88 @ProfBrianCox – at Dundee, Scotland

Do you take (digital) tea breaks with your colleagues? A Nobel Laureate who really enjoyed his afternoon tea was physicist J.J. Thomson, born #OTD in 1856. Thomson established a daily tea time welcoming all research students for a tea break at University of Cambridge.
