Columbia Public Works crews will be out Nov. 5 for the annual Dry Snow Run. Drivers will be rehearsing routes and testing equipment so we’re ready before the first flakes fall.
🚧 UPDATE: The roadway on West Sexton Rd just south of the Business Loop is curing overnight!
A portion of the southeast-bound lane of Sexton Rd remains closed behind barricades, reopening at 8 AM Tuesday. Please drive with caution through the single open lane this evening. 📸👀

ATTN COLUMBIA: From 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night Nov. 2 through Nov. 5, Business Loop 70 will close underneath I-70 so crews can demolish part of the bridge ahead of expansion. This will require a partial closure of the westbound Interstate 70 off-ramp.

ATTN COLUMBIA: The ramp from eastbound I-70 to Providence Road reopened over the weekend and the two westbound ramps could open in the coming weeks.
The eastbound I-70 on-ramp is expected to remain closed due to the short merge lane.

Starting Nov 3, work will begin on Clark Ln from the I-70/US 63 Connector to Woodland Springs Ct. The entry to Creekwood Pkwy will be closed during work. Improvements planned on Providence Rd and Range Line St.

🚨Power Lines Down Across WB I-70🚨
Troopers are assisting with traffic on westbound I-70, at the 122 mile marker, west of Columbia in Boone County.
A construction crane knocked down power lines and crews are on scene making repairs. The westbound lanes are closed at this time.
From 6 p.m.-6 a.m. daily Oct. 26-29, overnight utility work will take place on Chapel Hill Rd just east of South Fairview Rd. During work hours, traffic will be restricted to one lane, with flaggers directing drivers through the work area.

Public Works will host an informal open house Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in Conference Room 1B of City Hall (701 E. Broadway) to discuss parking concerns along Meadow Lane.

Beginning Monday afternoon, Oct. 19, Ameren will close the intersection of South Seventh and Cherry streets to make emergency repairs to a gas line. Work is expected to take several days.
