kit eunuch: quiet, clean, industrious, well-read, cares for children, respectful of others
kit balls: loud, stinky, low IQ, does not learn from experiences, no problem-solving skills, pisses on the bed

I am begging people to look at the scope of support Steamworks offers to titles before saying things like this

The client is basically irrelevant in this day and age. Anyone could build one better than Steam and it wouldn't even be hard. I only bring it up because it's what everyone talks about when defending Steam. Like it's still 2024 and these things are hard.
Steams only remaining value is it's network.

it's crazy how the evolution of tung tung tung sahur mirrors what happened to god. originally just a minor deity in a large pantheon of gods who ended up absorbing traits from all the other deities until becoming The God.
you never hear about tralalero tralala anymore. he's Baal

You can never make everyone happy
Give it away for free - they hate you because you have something to hide
Don't give it away for free - they hate you because you don't have a free tier
If only @Tailscale explained why and how they have a free plan.... tailscale.com/blog/free-plan

"Folks" is insidious, I think.
I *really* haven't seen a solid honest explanation of "why is this 'great' tool free? Why does it make sense to rely on it strongly without paying for it" and "no free lunch" feels like it should be explored better.

You've got it wrong. It's a coverup!
Bible: "The kinetic action against Sodom follows a prolonged and documented history of violence, human rights abuses, and open acts of hostility."
Press: "And why was Gomorrah also struck?"
Bible: "Uh, same threat profile. Next question."

>“This may cause problems…”

when i ask 3yo not to say “shut up” he says “well the shut up man is coming tomorrow and going to say shut up to you”. kind of difficult to respond to that. if i ask who the shut up man is, he says “oh you don’t know???” and laughs at me. feels like bullying
just went to the aquarium and saw an epaulette shark and my mom said “oh my god are those its eyes?!” duped, i fear, by quite literally one of the oldest tricks in the book
