Today a malicious third party app named β€œSKR Claim” was submitted to the Solana dApp Store. The App Spotlight and Quests UI were updated following unauthorized access to the dApp Publishing Portal. The app requested entry of user seed phrases. The app was live on the dApp Spotlight for one hour before being removed from the dApp Store. It is currently being removed from devices where it was installed. Following review, our team identified and patched a bug that allowed linking to apps that were not fully published to mitigate this from happening again. The Solana Mobile team will never ask you for your seed phrase, for crypto, or to connect your wallet to other apps/sites to claim airdrops.

As far as I know, Mysten Labs is the only blockchain company that has consistently stayed one step ahead when it comes to security best practices. A few examples of what our cryptographers and security researchers have pioneered: - Native multisig without additional gas costs. We deliberately designed Sui to accommodate larger transaction sizes, making multisig a first-class security feature rather than an expensive add-on. Our cryptographers were among the first to productionize advanced multisignature techniques, even before Facebook’s Libra. - Cryptographic agility and post-quantum readiness. From pioneering production-ready stateless post-quantum signatures to developing the first backward-compatible post-quantum solutions, our team has consistently pushed the boundaries. This includes enabling cryptographic upgrades and key rotation while preserving the same blockchain address (afaik the first crypto agility design in decentralized ledgers is attributed to my team). - Modern hardware wallet security. We’ve recently taken additional steps to incentivize startups to build the next generation of secure hardware wallets. With what we see in the market, this is one way. - AI-powered vulnerability detection. Sui was the first blockchain to introduce AI-driven bug detection through BugDar, back then presenting at Google’s Next conference. We knew AI would mess up security. - Recovering the seemingly unrecoverable. We created KelpMe, introducing innovative approaches to recovering assets after mnemonic loss or accidental transfers to incorrect addresses, problems traditionally considered practically impossible to solve. KelpMe also won the Bybit Hackathon, demonstrating the real-world potential of this innovation. - Zero-knowledge authentication as a first-class primitive. We went far beyond using ZK for privacy or scaling. With innovations such as zkLogin and ZEE-CAT, and for a while the most used ZK app in the planet, we demonstrated how zero-knowledge cryptography could fundamentally transform authentication. - Proofs of solvency and exchange accountability. Undeniably, we’re the leaders. Our cryptographers designed some of the most advanced proof-of-solvency protocols and identified critical weaknesses in approaches used by major exchanges and auditing firms. - World-class academic research at startup speed. Mysten Labs has systematically pushed the boundaries of academic research productivity, achieving publication records that are extraordinary for a startup. Our researchers reached an incredible milestone of 5 papers accepted at ACM CCS and 4 at Financial Cryptography (FC) in the same year, two of the world’s most prestigious venues in cybersecurity and applied cryptography. And so many best paper awards. - Binary transparency with Walrus sites and crypto guard. Reality is we should have pushed further making it the standard for any crypto website, but at the same time we indeed genuinely try to fix the internet. - Scion from our Swiss team, IMO the future of internet communication, kill DoS, native packet protection. That’s a phenomenal achievement even for established university research groups, let alone a startup simultaneously building and securing a major blockchain ecosystem. And these are just a few examples. When you consider the size of our team and the breadth of its contributions, even compared with the much larger Ethereum ecosystem, I genuinely believe Mysten Labs has been one of the most impactful organizations in blockchain cybersecurity, with innovations that are applied in the whole financial sector. What makes this particularly remarkable is that we didn’t just publish research or build theoretical solutions. We repeatedly turned cutting-edge cryptographic research into production systems, often years ahead of broader industry adoption. No other org ever came close to that. Now with the AI vision of Evan, Mysten will do more miracles 🀞

Built on $NEAR. Open to Solana and EVM. πŸ¦‰ We put serious work into making JustHoot this smooth: trade on the nest straight from Phantom or MetaMask in 10-15 seconds, via @near_intents. Cross-chain swaps are booming. Exactly what we built it for. HOOT HOOT πŸͺΉ

Buyback & burn is still cooking 50% of fees, but now $HOOT holders also get a cut of platform fees paid straight in $NEAR. On top of that, top 3 tokens get bought back and burned every hour. This is how you build real value for holders. $HOOT is about to go crazy.

We've rolled out new $HOOT tokenomics on JustHoot. Alongside the ongoing buyback and burn, $HOOT holders now receive a share of platform fees in $NEAR, and the top three tokens on JustHoot are bought back and burned every hour. For holders using Meteor Wallet, rewards are paid directly to the wallet β˜„οΈ
New $ HOOT tokenomics are LIVE. Every trade on JustHoot, from NEAR, Solana or EVM wallets, pays a platform fee. Buyback and burn stays: 50% of that fee still buys back and burns $ HOOT. The rest now goes to: - 15% Flywheel (new) - 15% holder rewards in NEAR (new) - 20% team

A leaked draft EU–Canada statement proposes closer cooperation on rules that could affect how Canadians use artificial intelligence, prove their identity online, and have their personal information transferred between countries. It also proposes cooperation on tracking disease outbreaks and preparing for future pandemics. Joint committees would discuss major policies and regulations before they are introduced. The draft leaves important questions unanswered. Would Canadians face new digital identification requirements? What personal information could be shared, with whom, and under what safeguards? How much influence would these committees have over Canadian policy? Ottawa must explain what it is considering and ensure Canadians, through their elected representatives, retain control over the rules that govern them. Our report, Restoring Freedom in Canada, calls for rejecting binding international agreements that compromise Canadian sovereignty. jccf.ca/wp-content/uploads/2…

I don't think people realize how much revenue some Solana protocols are generating. Take StonkFun, for example. Over the past 30 days, the Solana launchpad recorded $20.8M in protocol revenue. For comparison: - StonkFun: $20.8M - Meteora: $5.95M - Raydium: $5.34M - Jupiter: $5.17M That's more revenue than Jupiter, Raydium, and Meteora combined ($16.46M). Source: @DefiLlama
