RIP. This is the 2nd train crash within a year in Spain. Not sure what caused the 1st one but if it was train derailment from faulty rails just like this one then there needs to be justice and compensation.

Claude and other AI have already been used to vibehack and phish multiple governments several times over the past 2 years. It'll only ramp up and that's not mentioning that these are attacks from small groups and individuals. Imagine what state intelligence will be capable of.

Crazy how many great IPs were pumped out over the 80s and 90s. 2 themes I see: 1. Film adaptations of books 2. Technology inspired films (pushing VFX or exploiting it) Even the IPs that exist outside these categories were influenced by the trends and films they birthed. The ecosystem. Products of their environment. Based off that, it seems the key issue is of book quality declining and presuming that's true, I wonder why. Technically it's never been easier to self-publish but perhaps that itself is the issue. The pool of available books is polluted by junk so it's harder for a gem to catch the eye of the masses. We see the same issue in modern music. Because it was basically impossible to self-publish, only the 1-hit wonders (actual hits) made it to the airwaves but now it's less Darwinian.
