We’ve been making phylogenetic trees differentiable :) Check out our work at #ICML2023 workshops - Sampling and Optimization in Discrete Space (SODS) ፨ and Differentiable Almost Everything (DiffAE) 〆 Looking forward to discuss and learn more! 🙌 ❤️ work with Avi & @sokrypton

My browser port of 3Blue1Brown's manim had 12,952 npm downloads last month. It's open source You write the scene in TypeScript and it animates in the page. No Python

A step change in protein design: RFD4-Proteina is enables everyone today. We partenered with @huggingface to make available a free space. You can solve your hardest biology problem right now. No CS degree required: huggingface.co/blog/nvidia/r… More to come...
Avengers assemble: 1 year BakerLab + NVIDIA GenAIR = 🔥 rfd4-proteina.org Presenting RFD4-Proteina, our latest protein design model, significantly better and faster than everything we compared against, both in silico and in the lab! 1/30

This is so dope. I'm so happy to see that my tool is useful
did a group presentation today with @3blue1brown's manim style transitions. Sharing the template for anyone to build upon Brought to life with @NarekMaloyan's manim-web + reveal.js + claude + codex view template: slides.ramith.fyi view repo: github.com/ramithuh/protein-…

kudos to manim-web! thanks to on click transitions, was able to convey some ideas easily to the audience rather than including a bunch of videos

For some reason the word tpu “chip” makes me feel like its tiny compared to nvidia gpus 😆 Been playing with v6e chips lately and pretty impressed

Excited to share the final paper of my PhD! Driven by challenges in modeling large systems biology models with diffusion transformers, we developed a framework to overcome difficulties in 1) compositional sampling, 2) hierarchical sampling and 3) the sim-2-real gap 🤖 ↔️ 🌍

Anyone have access to free AMD gpus they aren't using? Was gonna try test some ported methods but dont have access to any AMD gpus to test on.

People are prophecying the death of math but actually in the last few months is the first time that I have even started thinking about hiring a math PhD as a postdoc, because the prospects of doing advanced math in my area are so much brighter now.

astra >> opus 5 (for biology). as a chat goes, Opus 5 keeps on saying > "Your framing was exactly right, and sharper than mine. Let me correct what I said." > "This corrects something I told you earlier."

Does anyone know how to make a NeurIPS rejected paper public? 🧐 is there a deadline to opt in?

In collaboration with the @francesarnold and @pengliu_group research groups, we @GoogleDeepMind are proud to release AlphaProtein Novo, a pipeline for small-molecule enzyme design. We developed AlphaProtein Novo on a few standard model reactions, and validated designs in our own wet lab. We then wanted to challenge this system against nascent chemistries, so we asked leading scientists in biocatalysis whether we could partner on the reactions they cared about.

First challenge of the competition is out! I think it’s a nice early example of what programmable biology could look like The task is to design a protein that: • binds to Human EGFR • binds to Mouse EGFR • at pH 6.5 • but not at pH 7.4 Basically a list of requirements for building a molecular machine with a specific objective: bind EGFR in the acidic environment of a tumour, but not at the neutral pH of healthy tissue, while still being easy to test in preclinical mouse studies.
We're launching Challenge 1 of the Anthropic x Adaptyv Protein Design Competition on @proteinbase: design a conditional binder to EGFR, a key cancer target. The goal: bind EGFR under the acidic conditions of the tumor environment, but not at the normal pH around healthy cells. Moreover, the proteins must bind to both the human and the mouse variant of EGFR to support easier preclinical testing

Frontier labs: “AI agents are becoming conscious. They can cause human extinction. Pace the frontier.” Jensen Huang: “They’re just software. If your sandbox isn’t safe, I’ll build one for you.”
Today, with over 100 industry partners, we introduced the NVIDIA Open Agent Safety Platform, bringing together OpenShell and Sentry. Artificial intelligence is extraordinary technology that will advance discovery, productivity, security, health, and prosperity for generations to come. But its full promise can only be realized when people have confidence that AI is being built to be safe and deployed with wisdom and responsibility. This is bigger than a single product. It's the beginning of an open ecosystem to build the trust layer for safe agent systems. Together, we are building the foundation of the AI economy. Trust and innovation are not in conflict. Safety is how trust is earned. We must build not only the most capable AI, but the most trusted AI, so that this extraordinary technology can realize its enormous promise for the world. nvda.ws/4hcoq7m
