It’s hard not to feel like @elonmusk has gone all “mad king” on us what with killing off 3 vehicles this year. He can rationalize killing the most advanced vehicle ever made (Cybertruck) all he wants but the reality is there is no dire need for Tesla to do this right now. Tesla is not on the verge of collapse. This is an unwise, premature and untimely death that will further disenfranchise the most loyal customers. I hope that the Elon who envisioned the Roadster and the Cybertruck is still in there somewhere and comes to his senses and reverses this rash decision. 🙏🇺🇸😳

There are a handful of great engineers still stuck at GE, Pratt, etc who yearn to move fast and reinvent how engines are made.
Proud to be offering them refuge at Boom—and the opportunity to do the best work of their careers. One more accepted just this morning!
Do both. Don’t kill @cybertruck.
Replying to @Scobleizer
We are still building Cybertruck for another 8 or 9 months btw, but then Tesla needs to focus on scaling Cybercab.
There will never be another vehicle like it.

I understand Tesla going all in on autonomy.
Just don’t agree with them discontinuing the Cybertruck.
Hey @elonmusk, PLEASE don’t cancel the Cybertruck! You’re about to disappoint one of Tesla’s most loyal and passionate communities.
I know you’re all in on Cybercab and Robotaxi, but Cybertruck fans take loyalty to another level. We genuinely LOVE this truck and will stand by it forever!
I know the original goal was 250K Cybertrucks a year, but maybe now isn’t the time. Who knows where demand could be in another 5 or 10 years?
Why not limit production to 20K or 30K a year? Keeping it exclusive could actually boost demand when people know only a limited number will be made. Whatever it takes to keep production profitable, DO IT!
The Model S and X were low-volume vehicles for years, yet Tesla kept them around. Why can’t the Cybertruck get that same opportunity?
There are already families with multiple Cybertrucks in their households. That’s how much people love this vehicle! And with every new owner, that passion and community can continue to grow.
Please don’t give up on the Cybertruck. We certainly haven’t given up on it! ❤️
Please repost this and tag Elon and everyone at Tesla. Let’s make sure they hear from the Cybertruck community! 📐 @cybertruck @Tesla @tesla_na

What originally got me excited for with Cybertruck in 2019 was the price.
$39,990.
During the unveil in 2019, I was a junior in college, broke out of my mind but excited for the future of tech.
Cybertruck not only inspired me but it felt achievable. Which led me to create this account and talking about it. For just $39k I could drive an EV truck to my first job out of college, how cool!
Tesla was never able to deliver on that promise.
Instead, I was determined enough to meet them at the $100,000 Foundation Series price tag. If that never happened, I’d probably be driving a gas car.
Nearly 7 years after the unveil, Cybertruck’s program will be completely dismantled and carried out to the dumpsters. Never to have seen anywhere near the price or specs that originally inspired me to dream big and get involved.
When Model S/X was discontinued, we were assured that Cybertruck had an “important role in the future of autonomous cargo transport”. I shouldn’t have been so naïve.
This one is personal.

wtf is Tesla even doing anymore? It’s like they are completely exiting the consumer car business.
I hate this.

Not gonna lie,
I unfollowed @robotaxi today.
I like Cybercabs and all.
But I like the independence
of @cybertruck more.
If I had to choose,
I choose Cybertruck.
Why is Tesla giving up on the Cybertruck when it barely had a chance to succeed?
Other vehicles had their time, but the Cybertruck didn’t even get a refresh! I’m all for autonomy, but people still want to DRIVE. Keep the Model Y and Cybertruck for consumers. The Cybercab is cool, but it can’t replace a family vehicle or a truck.
I genuinely love Tesla, but this decision has taken away a lot of my excitement. The Cybertruck deserved better. I really hope whoever made this decision rethinks it! 📐@elonmusk @cybertruck @Tesla @tesla_na
Why is Tesla giving up on the Cybertruck so quickly?
Not even five years of deliveries, not a single refresh, and Tesla is already planning to wind down production to focus on Cybercab.
I love FSD, but sometimes we actually want to DRIVE! The Cybertruck is the best vehicle Tesla has ever made, in my opinion. I’d rather see Tesla keep the Cybertruck than the Roadster.
Am I the only one who feels this way?

Discontinuing the S/X was the beginning of the end. Cybertuck ending (presumed by "winding down") is another nail in the coffin. Once Optimus and Cybercab ramp they will no longer need 3/Y sales to subsidize them and they too will be discontinued. Tesla is going all in on autonomy and transport as a service and seemingly doesn't want to be in the personal transport business anymore 😔 very sad to hear and see. Remember how you got here Tesla, people NEED choice. If everything is autonomous only people will lean towards manual driving. The cars are best when people can choose to drive or not. Going when people want to go and not having to wait for a pickup is a luxury that people will pay for.
What happened to the sentiment shared by the author of this post?

Strictly as a Tesla fan (no investment angle), it's criminal that the best company on earth at making the safest, most enjoyable vehicles will only be selling two models consumers can buy while Robotaxi is available to < 1% of the global population

I am petitioning @elonmusk and the @Tesla Board to reconsider the discontinuation of the @Cybertruck.
Cybertruck is a critical part of human-first vehicle ownership-- empowering exploration, hobbies, professionals, and home life.

Cancelling all of your best products in favor of an autonomous platform that remains software and regulatory constrained, going into a governance era that opposes Tesla, seems like a fucking terrible idea.
Tesla has lost the plot
