Kalaiyarasan A, an economist and Associate Professor at Madras Institute of Development Studies was allegedly illegally detained by Tamil Nadu police this morning. He was picked up by Tamil Nadu Police at 5 am today on some random allegation which he had no connection and was later dropped home at 7.45am. His alleged detention comes days after he gave interview to a television channel on price hike. DMK former leader starting from Anna to Kalaignar to other stalwarts haven’t done the politics black and white like this. Party’s internal affairs have always been dark.
