Day 14 of Building in Public 🚀 💻 Mac App → Reached out to builders on X yesterday to get their honest first impressions of the landing page. Got some really valuable feedback (thank you all 🫶) and made a few changes today to make the value proposition even clearer! 😁 → The launch video is now almost 80% done! Will work on the remaining tom. Getting closer to opening the waitlist to everyone this week! 👀 🚀 Launch Indie Apps → Added 2 new alternative pages to the blog, helping people discover apps similar to popular ones. → Also had a pretty good day with AI search! 📈 4 visitors came through AI search today, which is really encouraging to see! It’s still early, but seeing people discover the platform through AI search without me actively promoting it is a great feeling. Still a lot to do, but happy with the progress we’re making. Yesterday was a reminder of that 😂 Impressions dropped, follower growth slowed down, but hey, we're playing the long game! 💪 The good news? I finally finished the landing page for my Mac app!! 🥳 Even shared it with a few builders to get their first impressions and see if the value proposition was clear. One step closer to opening the waitlist! 👀 Anyway, here's what's on the plate today: 💻 Mac App → Start working on the launch video 🎬 → Refine the app's functionality and onboarding flow. 🚀 Launch Indie Apps → List the platform on a few more directories, if time permits. → Get back to marketing more consistently on X. → Reach out to more indie iOS makers through cold DMs. And a little milestone worth celebrating: Launch Indie Apps crossed 1,000 page views in the last 30 days!! 📈🥳 Still early days, but it's amazing to see more people discovering the platform! And a little reminder for myself (and maybe for you too): Not all progress shows up in numbers. Some of the most important work takes time to show results. So don't let a slow day discourage you. Day 13 of Building in Public 🚀 💻 Mac App Spent most of today working on my Mac app because I’m planning to open the waitlist to everyone THIS WEEK!! 🥳 Finally the landing page is DONE! → Finished polishing the landing page. Super happy with how it turned out! 😁 → Set up a proper email service for the waitlist. Signups, welcome emails, and notifications are now taken care of. → Finalized the waitlist and launch pricing. → Reached out to a bunch of builders on X to get their early impressions of the landing page. Really curious to hear their honest feedback and see if the value is clear to them. Feels good to finally have most things in place. Just a few more things before I open up the waitlist! 👀 🚀 Launch Indie Apps Didn’t get much done here today as my focus was entirely on the Mac app. Traffic has dipped a little lately 📉 Not too worried though. It’s still early, and I haven’t been marketing it much lately. Some days will be slower than others. I’m still confident it’ll keep growing in the long run! :) Sometimes you just have to give one project your full attention to get it across the finish line. One day at a time. One of my replies got more impressions than all my posts combined 😭😂 Not sure whether to laugh or cry at this point haha. Failed submissions now retry automatically, with nightly resubmissions for recent listings. → Set up weekly SEO health checks and regular fact-checking for all 44 guides and tool pages. Traffic has dipped a little lately 📉 Mostly because I haven’t been marketing the platform enough on X over the last few days. But here’s the good part: → We’re still getting discovered through AI search engines like ChatGPT! → Google Search traffic is also holding relatively steady 📈 Really nice to see people discovering the platform even when I’m not actively promoting it. That’s exactly what I’m trying to build. A platform that can grow without depending entirely on my daily marketing efforts 😁 💻 Mac App → FINALLY finalized the app icon after 30+ versions!! 😂🎨 Never thought an app icon would take this much effort, haha. But super happy with how it turned out! → Made app switching and scheduling smoother. → Added a new comparison section to the landing page. → Added light and dark mode to the website! 🌗 Quite a productive Monday overall!
