Based on how CFL contracts work, nothing in the CFL is guaranteed, you can literally sign for 7 years and be cut for nothing, it is all based on how the contract is written for each year, way too many CFL media do not ask questions before sharing opinions on matters like this, CFL teams and CFL as a league want to connect players for long term to sell brand and allow fans to purchase jerseys, these are not fully guaranteed deals and only money that counts for future caps is off-season money if you have a legit injury, if the cap goes up to 7M or higher than Chad at 900K on cap and 200K market looks like a solid deal as Alexander and Rourke will go above it, there is not someone else coming for real $$$ until a new QB comes along and takes the league by storm @RodPedersenShow

Two things to remember. 1) the salary cap is only guaranteed to go up $100k next year. Revenue share should increase that number but that relies year-over-year growth. 2) minimum salary goes up $5k next year. Some of the increase will be eaten by the bottom of the roster.

It's a good thing Doug Flutie didn't play in today's #CFL because some fans and media would go on and on about the INTs he threw, including 24 in '91, 30 in '92 (against 32 TDs), and 24 in 1997.

Exactly. Bradford never was in the lead. He was never even close. There was no massive 10 point swing in a week. Swings of that magnitude do not happen, especially not in municipal politics.

I am baffled that the smarter media types and seasoned journos don't actually stop using polling firms that continuously get it wrong before and during the election periods - but somehow 'converge' at the end, even shifting their own numbers by orders of magnitude over a matter of 1 week. 🤷🤷🤷

Nathan Rourke basically missed 4.5 games. The one he was hurt in, the 2 because of the injury and the 1.5 he sat out at the end of the year. He averaged 307.6 yard per game. #BCLions

5 of 6 CFL playoff teams have a Grey Cup starting QB on their rosters. 4 of those 5 are Grey Cup MVPs. Oh, and the guys that didn’t start a Grey Cup or weren’t GCMVP’s? All league MOP’s (this assumes Alexander will win it this year). ‘26 Playoffs could be absolutely bonkers.
