The Cricket vs Baseball debate is HOT right now. As someone who loves and understands both sports here are my thoughts.

Some Kenneth Walker III stats from tonight: - lowest success rate of any game this season (29%) and lowest yds/carry (2.6) - lowest rate of stacked boxes (7%) - lowest number of explosive runs (0) Seattle’s defense, man 😮‍💨

Remember folks, 1 Sam turnover is an acceptable amount of turnover. *TWO* Sam turnovers is when it gets to be Too Much Sam turnover.

every time I tune into the 49ers game I see a 49ers player getting carted off. This time Trent Williams.

it's insane how bad the 49ers injury situation is. they need an overhaul of their fitness/conditioning staff. they also need to get younger on their roster.

The Mariners were WS favorites on opening day and couldn't even win this wretched division!
The winner of the AL West is now guaranteed to be the worst playoff team in a full season in MLB history.

"I am not a fan of a player or a team"
I am not a fan of a player or a team, but I am a fan of the truth and objectivity.... And it feels good when a half decade of ignored objectivity is finally recognized. Start of this season has felt like a watershed moment thanks to this Brock Purdy tidal shift

And that, folks, will do it for your 2026 Seattle Mariners. Any remote chance they could pull this off just vanished. A fitting end to one of the most disastrous failures of any team we’ve seen in Seattle pro sports history. I’m not one for hyperbole - but I believe this to be objectively true.

as someone who's had to deal with dishwasher leaks (and the aftermath dealing with water damage) I wouldn't recommend DIY repairs when it comes to dishwasher. too traumatized to mess around with that stuff.
I just fixed my dishwasher with the help of ChatGPT. A trivial task. I had been about to order a new one. So this software has increased the country's real wealth yet decreased the measured GDP. The main economic indicator is structurally incapable of registering the thing that actually makes people better off, namely the growth of knowledge

are you guys watching the NFL games on Netflix when they come out or are you going to wait until all the episodes are released to bingewatch the whole season

Also it's week 1. weird things happen in week 1
The lesson to be learned from the Stafford + Maye games this week is clear and emphatic: don't win the MVP. Don't even come close to winning the MVP.

Okada not practicing.... 🥴 I guess Seahawks are going to look for people off the street to play safety.
The Seahawks' first injury report of the season lists Nick Emmanwori as limited. His recovery from July ankle surgery still is not allowing him to practice fully. Seems like another sign he's unlikely to play in the opener. Also of note: starting safety Ty Okada didn't practice.

Can't remember the last time a baseball team angered me to my core as much as the 2026 Seattle Mariners. What a monumental waste of talent. The American League stinks and they stink even more! What a vibe dumpster.

I have been a believer in the theory that managers don't matter as much in baseball over the course of a regular season. Revising my opinion after this season. Scott Servais would have made this team at least 4-5 wins better.

They say the toughest thing in sports is being a major league hitter. The 2nd toughest thing in sports is being a Mariners fan coming off high expectations and then getting repeatedly kicked in the nuts yet persisting through 150+ games with the hope they'll make the playoffs

it takes more mental fortitude to sit through soul-crushing defeats with some wins sprinkled in to give fans hope of a turnaround. I'm glad I checked out much early this season, but I am in awe of fans who are still sitting through this season.
