This is an example of just how stupid the US administration is and how it’s f’ing unscientific decisions will continue to kill/injure people around the world, not just in the US.
F@ck Cancer. After a year of chemo and treatment I’m making a comeback - just did a 4km winter road run (with traction spikes) at a 7:10 pace. A long way to go but I’m working at it! What a beautiful sunny winter day!
“The greatest country in the history of mankind“ is the lie the US has grown to believe while the rest of us nod politely. Militarily yes, but what about infant mortality, school shootings, people bankrupt fm med bills, etc etc - rethink what it means to be the best in the world
Bought the same frozen salmon we often get (Costco) but never noticed the “Contains” note. It’s a relief to know the salmon contains salmon!
I’m glad I read all the way through to clear up that the Ottawa Police’s ICE unit is not the same as the more infamous ICE down south!!

A year and a half ago this pace would have been if I was running with a broken ankle! After 6 months of chemo followed by Car T- cell transplant about one month ago, I’m thrilled with a 10:25 5km!
Amazing how your kids can make you so proud while you still need to say “are you crazy?” Our 20yo yesterday, on a whim, ran 50k on a track at what is a very decent pace. Called us after about to collapse - friends came with blankets food etc luckily

It is no longer a question of whether the USA is becoming a police state. It is now a police state. The only question is whether Americans care enough to try and fight the police state they are in.
Couple of mornings ago I heard some banging from our side porch and figured “damn raccoons”. Nope! Bit bigger than a raccoon!!
We may not be perfect but I’m so proud of my Country….
Canada’s story is one of unity, resilience, and shared ambition. Today, we celebrate what makes us proud—our home, our culture, our people—and the values that make our country strong.

Warmest congratulations to @MarkJCarney and the entire Canadian people on Canada Day. This day celebrates a nation that has become a shining example of unity, democracy, and the defense of freedom.
Throughout its history, Canada has become home to many Ukrainians, who today form one of the most influential Ukrainian diasporas in the world.
Canada stands with Ukraine in our most difficult times, providing financial and defense assistance, humanitarian support, and playing a vital role in ramping up pressure on Russia through sanctions.
We are deeply grateful to all Canadians for this unwavering commitment and valuable contribution. Together, we are stronger. Together, we stand for the values that unite our nations.
Happy Canada Day!
The 2004-2009 Battlestar Galactica tv series was, IMO, one of the best SciFi shows. Hard hitting & dealt with real issues head on. This clip is so timely & what, through my 20yr Army career, what we believed

Day 7 of chemo starting on the deck with my "it's better at the lake" coffee mug, my comfi slippers and the heater on (it's 10°c 50°F). Always remember it could be worse!
