Today, I’m sharing my first letter to the KMNO community as CEO
Since joining @kamino , I’ve been asked a version of the same question by longtime KMNO holders and people getting to know us for the first time. As Kamino grows, where does the value we create go?
It’s a fair question, particularly as we work to bring Kamino into banks, brokerages and wallets, through which our goal is to allow millions of people to earn on their capital or borrow against assets they already own.
The answer starts with how Kamino was built. The Kamino Foundation owns the intellectual property and receives all revenue, including revenue from institutional partnerships. KMNO is the only token. The founders, our investors, the team and I have our upside tied to the same token our community holds. None of us has a separate equity allocation.
What we do with the revenue matters, too. We’re committing at least $20 million over the next two years to expand the assets people can use on Kamino, and bring Kamino's credit and liquidity infrastructure to more of the platforms consumers already use today.
I wrote my first letter to KMNO holders to put those decisions on the record. I also share why I chose to make most of my own KMNO allocation vest only when it reaches and sustains a series of valuation milestones.
One Kamino. One KMNO.
I'm beta testing the hermes mobile beta app-- very very promising
THIS IS MASSIVE. THE ONE EVERYONE'S BEEN WAITING FOR 📱🔥
I've had Hermes on my phone for a week. Now you can too.
The official Hermes Agent app is in open beta on iOS and Android.
Once your agent lives in your pocket, there's no going back. You're going to love it.
What it does:
▸ Chat with your agent and watch it work through its tools
▸ Live Mode: talk to it out loud, a pause sends it
▸ Routines on a schedule that deliver to Telegram, Discord, Slack or Teams
▸ One-tap skill installs
▸ Connect services like Shopify, Stripe, Notion, Linear and Slack
▸ Plugins, MCP, projects, artifacts and a Kanban board
▸ Usage and spend tracking
▸ Terminal over SSH or Mosh, plus your agent's files and config
▸ Light and dark themes, accent colors and custom app icons
What you can do with it:
▸ Talk through an idea on a walk and hand it off
▸ Set up a morning brief from bed that lands in Discord
▸ Add a skill the moment you need it
▸ Check what your agent spent today
▸ Drop a task on your board from the grocery line
Hermes just left the desk.
Beta spots are limited, so grab yours fast.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The official Hermes Agent mobile app is not in open beta; it was a private beta that leaked and quickly reached max tester limits on TestFlight/Firebase per the company and site.

All markets will be onchain. First slowly, then it will feel like it’s happening all at once. The efficiency, costs of capital, distribution and growth, and net new opportunities to deploy risk capital w liquidity are pulling all types of use cases on chain. @kamino @solana are ushering in a wave of new assets and liquidity onchain.
I keep reading about how public companies are a shrinking part of the economy. Really enjoying @matt_levine’s Money Stuff newsletter lately
Shout out to Jake at Yoto. My 4yo looks forward to the Yoto daily podcast every day and the content is incredible.
Few.
If you do just one thing this weekend, go listen to @WeiszM's discussion with @JasonYanowitz
41 minutes of pure, unadulterated market wisdom from our new CEO - link in next tweet
"I'm willing to lend it to you at 5% or 6%, and it's earning over 10%. That's a pretty good trade for you."
@WeiszM on the trade wealth clients can't make today: borrowing against Blackstone and BlackRock LP stakes.
My @ring home security camera broke. RMA call took 45mins and they never sent my damn camera replacement. So I tried having hermes follow up with @PollyR89900
21min phone call. Ring support please tell Sid that I'm sorry.

As engineering, product, design, DS, etc. melt into a new kind of role, I was reflecting on what roles might look like in the future. For example, when I look at the Claude Code team I see what I think is five archetypes:
1. Prototyper: comes up with brand new ideas; churns out many ideas, most of which don't ship
2. Builder: quickly turns a prototype/idea into production-grade product/infra
3. Sweeper: cleans up the UI, simplifies the code and system, unships, optimizes performance
4. Grower: takes a product that has been built and iterates on it to improve Product-Market Fit
5. Maintainer: owns a mature system to make it secure, reliable, fast, and efficient as it scales
Many people span across 2 roles, and sometimes 3 roles. I also notice that these roles are not really tied to job function -- eg. across Anthropic, some designers match category 1, some 2, some 3; same for engineers, PM, DS.
A healthy team needs a mix of these, depending on the product:
- A product that is new and pre-PMF needs people that are strong at 1+2+3
- A product that is growing and has found PMF needs 2+3+4 and some 5
- A product that has strong PMF needs 3+4+5 and some 2
Maybe product roles of the future will look more like this, and less like the domain-specific roles of today?
