Windows 11 KB5124010 Update Crashes Productivity Apps, Games, and Media Players
Details: cybersecuritynews.com/window…
Microsoft has confirmed a Windows 11 audio decoding bug that can cause some productivity apps, games, and media players to close without warning.
The issue follows installation of KB5124010, released on September 22, 2026, or later Windows updates, and affects applications that depend on Windows to decode AC-3 (Dolby Digital) audio. The problem affects Windows 11 versions 26H2, 25H2, and 24H2. Microsoft lists no affected Windows Server platforms.
Although several types of software may experience crashes, the company says the issue is more likely to affect older applications that rely on the operating system’s built-in audio decoding component.

🌐🔍 WHAT YOUR IP ADDRESS REALLY REVEALS
Your public IP can reveal more than most people realize — but far less than many people fear. It can expose your approximate location, ISP, network type and other technical clues, but it doesn’t magically reveal your exact home address, identity or passwords. 🔐
In this Reel, we break down what someone can actually learn from your IP — and what they can’t.

It can decode your broadcast readings, such as consumption, temperature, and status, and supports encrypted readings when you have the correct key from your provider.

🚨 Linux Privilege Escalation — Practical Cheat Sheet & Learning Repository 🐧🔥
Most penetration tests don't end with initial access.
They end with Privilege Escalation.
If you can't escalate privileges, you often can't achieve your objectives.
That's why we've built a practical Linux Privilege Escalation repository covering real-world techniques, common misconfigurations, and exploitation methods used by penetration testers and red teamers.
