Starlink coming to EasyJet
easyJet has just announced that it will be installing SpaceX's @Starlink on its fleet. Installations will start in first half of 2027 across the airline’s modern A320, A320neo and A321neo fleet, with the rollout expected to be completed by early 2028. "easyJet’s investment in onboard connectivity is a key step in further enhancing the experience for 100 million passengers who already choose to fly with the airline each year." easyJet CEO Kenton Jarvis: “Innovation is in easyJet’s DNA and partnering with SpaceX to bring Starlink’s high-speed internet connectivity onboard for the first time will not only further enhance the experience we provide millions of customers, but means we are offering more of the options both business and leisure travellers want when they choose who they fly with. Giving customers the opportunity to get online in the air will mean even greater choice and convenience when you fly with easyJet."

For the fools out there, Zelensky himself posted about using Starlink for offensive drone strikes, which has always been against Starlink’s terms of service:

Correct. Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be. Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them. Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week. Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact. Starlink was also crucial to preventing Russia from overrunning Ukraine in the early days of the war, as all other means of communication were destroyed or jammed by Russia. SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR. That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell. End of story.
STARLINK WORKS THE SAME WAY ITS ALWAYS WORKED. ITS NOT A WEAPONS SYSTEM, NO MATTER HOW MUCH UKRAINE WANTS IT TO BE.

Tesla installs @Starlink terminals at Superchargers so customer cars can stream videos even if the cellular coverage is limited. Tesla also uses them for connection to the stations themselves. Convergence between @Tesla and @SpaceX is everywhere.

And that’s with most people still not having a clue about FSD. As more people get exposed to it those numbers will keep rising.

So pay more for a less advanced service? Seems like it is Carney with the issue.
Starlink out. Telesat in. Musk learns a lesson. ✊ Canada chose its own $2.3B satellite network over a billionaire's tantrums. Carney's message: contracts aren't toys for mood swings. When a partner shows you who he is — believe him, then replace him. 🚨🔥

California voters, don't let envy drive you to chasing out wealth. It doesn't end well!
California’s billionaire tax was supposed to raise $100 billion. Now a new study estimates $30 billion in collections against $39 billion in lost income tax revenue. When you chase away the people paying the bills, everyone else gets stuck with the tab.

The car industry had a century to build an electric car people actually wanted. It didn’t. The aerospace industry had sixty years to make a rocket reusable. It didn’t. The telecom industry had decades to connect the billions it couldn’t profit from. It didn’t. One person looked at all three and started crossing them off. Reusable rockets that land themselves. Electric cars that outsell their gas-powered rivals. A satellite network that beams internet from orbit to any point on the planet. A platform where speech is no longer filtered through a handful of editors. A chip inside a human brain that lets a paralyzed person control a computer with their thoughts. And now a car that flies. Six companies. Six industries. Each one operating at the frontier of its field while feeding engineering, data, and capability back into the others. The rockets fund the satellites. The satellites fund the rockets. The cars train the robots. The AI runs them. The platform keeps the conversation free. The energy powers all of it. People keep waiting for him to fail. They have been waiting for twenty years. The rockets were supposed to explode. They land on boats. The cars were supposed to be toys. They outsell everyone. The satellites were supposed to be impossible. They connect six continents. The brain chip was supposed to be science fiction. It is inside a human skull right now. At some point the pattern stops being luck and starts being something the critics are not equipped to recognize. Not because they lack intelligence. Because the framework they use to judge what is possible was built inside the institutions that couldn’t do what he does. The conversation about Elon Musk has never been about Elon Musk. It has been about how uncomfortable it makes people to watch one person accomplish what entire industries organized themselves to attempt and never finished. History does not produce this combination often. The drive. The technical depth. The pain tolerance. The willingness to let the mission burn through everything else. And the insane ambition to attempt all of it at once. Every one of these technologies would have arrived eventually. Reusable rockets. Electric vehicles. Global connectivity. Brain interfaces. None of them violated the laws of physics. But eventually can mean fifty years. And fifty years is the difference between your grandchildren seeing it and you seeing it. The most overlooked thing Musk has done is not any single invention. It is how much of the future he pulled into the lifetimes of people who would have died before it arrived. Earth does not get many of these. And the people still betting against him are making the same mistake every industry made before he walked in and did the thing they said couldn’t be done.

Today, I was proud to present the Governor’s Medal of Freedom to Baseball Hall of Famer and great Floridian Andre Dawson. His distinguished career in Major League Baseball, his contributions to the sport, and his lasting impact on our state have earned him this award. From his childhood in Southwest Miami, to his college days at FAMU, to his legendary MLB career, “The Hawk” has represented Florida in the best possible way for decades. His generous support of FAMU and its baseball program has helped generations of student-athletes succeed. The Governor’s Medal of Freedom is the highest honor I can bestow on any Floridian, and Andre Dawson truly deserves this recognition.

Inspiring!
Two years ago Jake Bauers told his agent he was retiring. The plan was that his wife would go back to teaching and he would stay home with their kid. Three days later she told him she was pregnant, so he went back to work instead. For the insurance. Tonight he hit the go ahead home run in the National League Championship Series. Here is the whole thing. He is from Newport Beach, California, and he went to Marina High School in Huntington Beach. San Diego took him in the 7th round. Then seven organizations in 11 years. He hit for the cycle with Cleveland once. He has also been traded four times, sent down, taken off a 40 man roster and signed to three different minor league deals. He is a career .224 hitter. Two years ago he hit .199 with 118 strikeouts, and he decided that was enough. He figured the last good swing of his career was a home run he hit in a wild card game that October. He was fine with that being the end of it. Here is how he describes what happened next. "She tells me she's pregnant." And then this. "Obviously, she wasn't going back to work, so we decided I was going to keep playing." And the reason, in four words. "We needed health insurance." So he did not retire. Milwaukee took him off the roster that November anyway. He went into free agency, re-signed a minor league deal in January, and made the team out of spring training. This year he hit .266 with 26 home runs and 86 RBI and an .873 OPS. He is 31 years old and it is the best season of his life by a wide margin. In game 2 of this series he fouled off pitch after pitch against Yoshinobu Yamamoto, 12 of them in one at bat. Here is what he said about that. "I decided that he wasn't going to get me." And here is what he said about his wife a few days ago. "We have two kids, so she's holding it down at home by herself a lot of the time, which is a lot." And this. "She stuck by me this whole time when it wasn't always easy." And then he said this about himself. "I wasn't always the best husband. I wasn't always the best father." Here is the honest part. He is still a .224 hitter for his career and one great season does not erase 11 years of being almost good enough. He had not homered once in this postseason before tonight. But the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 6 to 2 and they are up three games to none. A man quit baseball two years ago. His wife got pregnant, they needed the insurance, and he went back to work. For more stories like this, follow us on any platform @thesportsontap
