This is the exact attitude why the right lost so much ground in the culture war and pop-culture especially - This superior snobby boomer get off my lawn attitude to certain parts of fandom. It’s the satanic panic, videos games cause violence, bull crap.
The popularity of fanfiction literally influences how the mainstream looks at adapting the franchises we love and you want to let the left have full sway in that space?! THAT is lame and gay. The Malfoid meme is the Right literally dominating the Harry Potter fanfiction space for over two weeks and has the potential to overtake it entirely. That’s good and we should want WAY more of this type of thing!
I get that many people hate fanfiction because of the trash it has produced and the actual damage it’s done to many pop-culture franchises, but that happened BECAUSE the right ceded that territory to degenerate shippers and leftist that want to hijack fandoms for their agenda, and WE didn’t make anything to compete against it.
Fanfiction is a sign of a HEALTHY franchise and fandom. Telling people to stop, that it’s theft, wasted potential, gay, and isn’t art, is such an out of touch statement, and will harm that fandom, not help it.
Art should inspire new ideas? Fanfiction is new ideas, a new take on a pre-existing stories. So many beloved movies ARE fanfiction. You think the Disney animated movies are original?!? I guess we should never make another sleeping beauty, Aladin, Robin Hood, king Arthur, Pride and Prejudice, or any type of reimagining or reboot.
Fanfiction is one of the primary ways people get into writing and creating their own things. One of my first story concepts was a dungeons and dragons fan fiction, and now I'm a published author.

There is something wrong with "modern women"... they will see the facts before them and then ignore them and rule/vote in ways that are contrary because their emotions override their internal logic.
It's like that study from Sweden where over 1 in 3 women feel that the country has become dangerous and they do not feel safe to go out into the city... and yet the vast majority of women will still vote for the party that imports mass migrants, which makes their cities dangerous.
Like I said... social consensus, relational consensus, and in-group bias are so strong that they might as well not have any abstract reasoning abilities.

I don't know whether you're deliberately refusing to see why this discourse has come about or are really this blind to current events. No one is talking about the 19th or women shouldn't be allowed online because of Lindsay's actions alone. They're saying this due to the overwhelming response by women in general.
You have a woman who premeditatively murdered her own children, and yes all of the evidence in court is pointing to this being premeditative and not due to some postpartum psychotic break. The response from women has been to post hundreds, if not thousands of videos on social media either with the tag "same Lindsay", indicating that they are either desperate attention whores or they too are a threat to their own children's lives because they are mentally are incapable of being mothers... or that the husband did it because of "astrological forensics".
And this is before the over $1m that have so far been donated to the parents simply for "relocating" to Mass. in order to be closer to their daughter during the trial. (btw anyone who thinks this money won't be fraudulently funneled to Lindsay herself, you're dreaming).
You know who none of these women are talking about in all of this social media discourse where they pledge fealty to a psychopathic murderer?
Her three children she murdered! Cora, 5-years-old, Dawson, 3-years-old, Callan, 8-months-old. NO ONE is talking about them, all they're saying is "same Lindsay" while using their own children as props to get attention online because of pathetic clout chasing and attention-seeking.
You know who else no one is talking about? Patrick Clancy! This man had his three children, whom he loved and would do anything for, ripped away from him by the psychopathic creature he had the misfortune of making his wife. This man did everything humanly possible to help in the raising of his children, including taking extended paternity leave, working from home, and even hiring a nanny to help with the children. And what happens? The screeching, attention-seeking harpies online accuse HIM of murdering his own children when Lindsay flat out admitted to it because... they know they'll get that sweet, sweet attention and dopamine hit from it.
Do you know what would happen if the husband had actually done it? Do you know what the ACTUAL response from men would be? They'd want five minutes alone with him so they could inflict the worst pain imaginable on him. They would want him screaming in eternal agony and it still wouldn't be enough. You would see next to zero men making social media posts with "same Patrick" as a tagline and you DAMN SURE wouldn't see lines of them CHEERING the prisoner transport van as it rolls by.
So get the fuck out of here with your bullshit conflations and lies about the discourse surrounding the Lindsay Clancy case. You know what I find absolutely unhinged? The sheer amount of women, yourself included, that are desperate to minimize the facts of this entire situation in order to excuse simply demonic behavior in a shocking amount of women.

A horrific case involving one woman’s severe mental health crisis somehow leads to: maybe women shouldn’t vote and maybe women shouldn’t be allowed to freely interact online.
That isn’t an argument. It’s collective punishment dressed up as political commentary.
Imagine applying this logic to men. Every time a man commits an act of violence, should we reconsider men’s voting rights? Restrict their internet access? Of course not because we understand that one individual’s actions do not justify stripping civil liberties from an entire sex.
You can debate the Lindsay Clancy case. You can disagree about culpability, psychosis, treatment, or the legal standard for insanity. But using a tragedy as an excuse to suggest women deserve fewer constitutional freedoms is not serious thinking.
The 19th Amendment isn’t conditional upon women behaving in ways you approve of. Neither is our basic freedom to participate in public life.

When I was a kid in the 1980s we had police officers show up to our classrooms and tell us not to play Dungeons and Dragons because it was was a gateway to drugs, Satanism, and murder.
We had Mike Warnke selling out auditoriums, talking about his experiences with DnD, Satanism, and wouldn't you know it, turns out he was a fraud.
This sort of thing scared the shit out of us little kids. Something that Sears had recently advertised in its Christmas toy catalog SOMEHOW was an instruction manual to chop up your entire family for the glory of Satan.
Later on when I wised up, I looked at Dungeons and Dragons materials -- even the more "problematic" ones -- and found nothing of the sort.
No satanic imagery. No suggestions to chop up your family. No subversive instructions to seclude yourself and eventually commit suicide.
It was an adaptation of the same wargaming our very own military had used for decades, but instead of USMC infantry with flamethrowers, you had wizards. Instead of tanks, dragons.
Gary Gygax enjoyed wargaming AND Lord of the Rings so much that he wanted to combine the two. That's it. That was Dungeons and Dragons.
Now DnD is filled with all this sexually degenerate messaging in a product intended for older children and teens. This is evidence of that.
I don't need to explain any more. Everyone else understands this point. You, on the other hand, are a fucking imbecile.
