I remember him and his struggles from when I was younger. Walesa is a giant among those who ceaselessly fight for human rights and freedom. Walesa is a deserving recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. Those who receive it are typically deserving and don't lobby for it. President Ronald Reagan hailed the honor given to Walesa as "a triumph of moral force over brute force. No government can destroy the hopes that burn in the hearts of a people." President Barack Obama paid tribute to Walesa as "a monumental figure of freedom and democracy." The world can see with clarity that something is wrong in the United States of America even though they might still be a bit uncertain as to how to accurately characterize it Most Americans, as they live their lives from day to day, just don't seem to have a care in the world as everything burns and collapses around them. In time that will change as they'll have no choice but to wake up and hopefully shape up.
