San Francisco Public Transit Sad Facts Ranked open.substack.com/pub/ronkie…
almost got depressed realizing employee #5000 at anthropic is sudden a $10 millionaire but then remembered that the rat race is almost over and in the next 2-3 years we will all be rich and fulfilled.
Who actually gets rich if Anthropic lists at $2 trillion?
The S-1 filed on Monday lets us answer from the filing itself.
The reported target is $1.5T to $2T, listing the week of November 16. The filing implies about 16.9B fully diluted shares. So $2T works out to roughly $118 a share.
The cap table at $2T:
- $199B for the 7 controlling co-founders, about 10%
- $28B for Ben Mann, if his stake matches theirs
- $100B for the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, 5%
- $331B in employee options and RSUs, about 17% , That pool covers about 5,300 employees, an average of $62M each.
- But when you joined matters enormously.
The S-1 shows how much equity was granted each year, and at what price. [
Headcount went from about 300 to 500 in late 2023, to 940 at end 2024, to 5,300 now.
Match the two, and here is roughly how many people made what at $2T:
- $110M to $400M each: ~300 to 500 people hired by 2023
- $200M to $300M each: ~440 to 640 hired in 2024
- $70M to $95M each: ~1,360 hired in 2025
- $10M to $20M each: ~3,000 hired in 2026
So about 940 people hired by the end of 2024 average nine figures. Everyone hired since averages eight figures.
The 2024 class is the surprise. That year Anthropic granted 1.28B options at $1.30 a share. At $118, that one year of grants is worth about $133B.
Then there is the tender. In April, holders could sell at $25.91 a share. Investors lined up $6B, but only $4.7B sold.
Weeks later, Series H priced at $58.90 a share. At $2T, the people who held would be up 4.6x. And Dario and Daniela Amodei were among the sellers.
The 7 founders have pledged 80% of their equity to charity. That is about $159B at $2T. But the S-1 says the pledges are not legally binding.
Arc is the reason I will never switch browsers ever again.
I used Chrome for years and years and years but, despite the high switching costs, Arc was cool enough for me to pull the trigger and try something new.
I loved, I recommended it to friends. It was buggy but I really really loved it. Just yesterday I was using Chrome with vertical tabs and reminiscing on how good Arc’s tab management was, how much I enjoyed using that browser.
Then, less than a year after I switched, they announced Dia and put Arc on life support. And now, it’s gone.
I have limited interest in AI browsers, but even if I did, I would never switch to Dia? Why would I use a browser that could be sunset at any point?
Chrome 4 life I guess. Fuck me for trying something new.
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.
That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.
Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.
We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:
· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.
Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.
I think that AI replies are fundamentally incompatible with social media. We are here to interact with and see ideas from other people.

A man cannot prompt the same agent twice, for it is has compacted and is not the same agent, and he is not the same man
should have never changed it.
1. quarter stars is way too much. the rating scale goes from 1-5 to 1-20. 1-10 (letterboxd, imdb) is best.
2. now i have to go re-read and re-rate all of the books i've ever read
I put the entire game of Minecraft inside twitter.. with WORKING multiplayer 💀 tweetcraft.jai.vin/r/ti9bwes…
wait the auto-review counted as usage...?
Day 2.1/
We have made Auto-review free for all users signed in through a ChatGPT account. You can enable it in settings > permissions > auto-review. Auto-review improves upon the default sandbox setting that requires you to approve everything, which is prone to decision fatigue unless you spend a lot of time configuring specific rules.
It allows you to run long tasks while having a second agent review all actions taken by the primary agent. Its only goal is to prevent high-risk actions from being taken and to protect against unwanted actions that are not aligned with the original user intent. This Auto-review feature is now free and does not draw usage from your plan.
