now that AI is generating slop timelapses, a gentle reminder that if an artist uses clip studio paint you can always ask to see their canvas information and their layers

not every artist has the same layer organization, which is a green flag btw!! some artists are more organized, some delete their sketches as they go, some compile layers in their process. but a red flag 🚩 is when they absolutely refuse to showcase ANY proof of work

Procreate also has this feature btw!! I don’t have a photoshop license anymore to check there but that meta information is pretty standard these days

excuses like “my files got corrupted” or “i do everything on one layer” is sus 🚩 these things do happen but RARELY especially when they’re claiming to be professional freelancers

I'm srsly suspecting that there are issues within Steel Wool itself/ some things we're not aware of are happening and I DOUBT it has to do with the wonderful, talented atrists and programmers there. They're a great teem but something's off.
