After spending some time shooting some sheds and boats at Cox's Cove we headed to this beautiful waterfall. Two waterfalls for the price of one!
I settled on this scene with some rocks leading into the distance as the water ran around them creating some nice streaks. There were breaks in the clouds so I waited until the sun peaked through just enough to give a little light.
I did shoot this waterfall last year, but I think I prefer this years shot. It's always nice to revisit locations to see if you can improve on the composition.
My eye that wasn't swollen to the point of not seeing really appreciated @mccloskeybooks' autumn-appropriate shirt. Can't wait for the full interview!

A fall scene on a light foggy day. The colours were really standing out in the Misty conditions.
I liked how the light fog softened the scene without hiding the details. The reflection was an added bonus!

It's never too late after the sun is long gone, to still get a decent shot. You just have to have your eyes wide open and not trip.

The old bridge at Piper’s Hole, Newfoundland.
I photographed this a few years ago, when the trail was covered in leaves and the trees were showing off their colours. The old bridge has seen better days, but I think that’s part of what makes it interesting.
It’s a simple spot, but the fall colours really bring it to life.

A little bit of hedgehog love this morning.
It's really wet here this morning. I hope that the hogs are safe and well out there.

On the the 3rd morning of the Workshop we headed to the Tablelands. On the way up to the Bowl I stopped to take a quick shot of this scene.
I like how the boardwalk leads off in the distance toward the bowl. It’s a great spot to capture the character of the area. This place blows me away on every visit!
I got back here a week later and there was snow on the boardwalk and in the mountains with more colour changes. It will be interesting to show you the contrast a week can make!

After spending some time shooting a coastline (check out my previous post) I headed back to the Point Riche lighthouse to see if I could get in a quick shot of it before calling it a day.
It was a little breezy but the pools along the rocks were sheltered enough to create a reflection. The sun was down but still bright enough to create some soft warm light.
I think I might put this one on my 2028 Calendar! What do you think?
