The producer of the 1981 cult horror film “Just Before Dawn” has prevailed in a surreal courtroom battle against a DVD distributor who calls himself “The Demon.”
The legal dispute began after producer Vlado Hreljanovic discovered the film was streaming on Shudder and being sold on DVD without his permission. The distributor, David DeFalco, who goes by “The Demon,” then taunted Hreljanovic in a series of unhinged livestream videos, calling him and his lawyers “f*cking maggots.”
After two days of testimony and a day of deliberations, the jury found in Hreljanovic’s favor and awarded $46,000 in statutory damages.

Historian Steven J. Ross says Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt told him the ADL is still "spying" on Americans.
Ross says he asked Greenblatt at an LA fundraiser if he could have access to the ADL's spying records and Greenblatt told him, "No, because we're still spying and still using the same techniques."
