Judas Maccabeus sent envoys to Rome around 161 BCE to form a treaty with the Roman Republic. This was the first recorded agreement between the two parties. The Maccabees were Jewish rebels who fought against the Seleucid Empire in the second century BCE.
Aristobulus II (supported by the Pharisees) and Hyrcanus II (Sadducees), over the Hasmonean Jewish crown. Both brothers invited Rome to come in and help the other and sent them gold to do so. The war began in 65 BCE and ended in 63 BCE with the intervention of the Roman Republic.

I am witnessing Wall Street's euphoria regarding potential financial gains amid current political circumstances. Active market participants who own stocks have likely reaped substantial benefits recently.
