Rice and pasta are both starches that you boil in water with a bit of salt in it. Pro tip: “A bit” is HIGHLY relative, those two fuckers have a completely different salt game going on. Annnnnd now we’re out of rice.
Desperate spice nerds reach for desperate measures. I can tell you that chipotle paste with a sprinkle of salt is delicious on corn chips! So is sambal oelek. Just don’t hiccup at the wrong time and shoot it up the back of your nose, it’s... a *bit* much.
