Just in case this app doesn’t survive the leadership transition, I’ll probably take this show over to my Facebook account - rich.andre.79. It’s been an honor to spend time with you here!

I don't think this qualifies as a prayer, but I'm opening tomorrow's staff meeting at @OldStMarysChi with this tweet!

We opted to celebrate Blessed Marie Rose Durocher at Mass this morning because here at @OldStMarysChi we don’t talk about Bruno

Pope Leo's tweet this morning is profound. Whole books on spirituality have been written on this concept, like St. Francis de Sales "Introduction to the Devout Life" and Brother Lawrence's "The Practice of the Presence of God" (which the Holy Father admires) but the Pope sums it up perfectly.
"There exists a martyrdom of those who offer their lives in a single moment, and the more hidden martyrdom of those who give their lives day after day. This is exactly what all Christians are called to do: to give our lives with love, every day.
"Our age needs men and women who have the courage to do good even when it comes at a cost. Draw close to those who are alone, support those who are weary, and seek out those who have drifted away. Have the courage to forgive, to begin again, and to engage in dialogue.
"Doing good does not always receive recognition and often requires effort, but this is the daily courage of charity. Friendship with Jesus Christ gives us the strength to live this way."

Many thanks to the good people at St. Austin Catholic Parish (Austin, TX) and The Paulist Center (Boston, MA) for challenging me to preach on environmental issues!

A number of adults said that they thought I was speaking directly to them!
Stay blessed, y'all!

#RichThoughts from 6/21:
Rather than going for the warm fuzzies of Father’s Day or God’s eye being on the sparrow, I was shaking things up yesterday!

This is probably the most out-of-the-box homily I've ever preached.
Thomas Aquinas said the only way we can talk about God is through analogy, but every analogy falls short. Here are 24 analogies in rapid succession.
