Cash recorded this song near the end of his life and facing his mortality, the song is full of nostalgia and regret He died about a year after the song was released. It serves as his epitaph in a way, and is heralded as one of the most transformative and powerful cover songs ever recorded Johnny Cash - Hurt (2002) ▶️

Grazie dell'attenzione

the song that signaled the start of a new phase in the bands careers, one that would see them become one of the biggest alternative acts in the world i love this Robert Smith quote from 1985..😆 "If I wasn't in a band I'd start The Cure up now because I still detest the people in the Top 10 as much as I did when we started" The Cure - In Between Days (Live in '85) ▶️

Kurt Cobain rarely talked about this song, but he did say that it was dedicated to his wife and daughter, The song deals with everything that was expected of him and the changes he had been through, which weren't all pleasant judging by the lines, "Married... Buried." Nirvana - All Apologies (Reading 1992) ▶️

Debbie Harry and Chris Stein wrote the first version of this song in early 1974, shortly after they first met. They didn't have a proper title for the song, and would refer to it as "The Disco Song." Harry explained on the show Words and Music.. "Lyrically, it was about a stalker who was pursuing me, and Chris saved me from him" Blondie - Heart of Glass (totp 1979) ▶️

#Sony #BillyJoel #pillolerock
