Why has the government still not published the Milburn Report into how to help young people into work? It is an urgent problem. Ministers are sitting on it. Is that because it proposes spending more, and that cannot be found for the budget?
Using a mosque to direct votes and pressure entire families is a serious threat to electoral integrity.
Elections must be decided by free choice, not religious pressure or organised bloc voting.
Democracy is not a numbers game to be manipulated.
When Andy Burnham became Mayor of Greater Manchester in 2017, he pledged to end the need for rough sleeping across the entire city-region by May 2020.
He did not reach his 2020 target.
Rough sleeping subsequently rose for four consecutive years, reaching 197 people in 2025. 🤨
