George Takei is remembering his longtime “loyal friend” and “Star Trek” co-star Walter Koenig, who died Sunday in Los Angeles:
“My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades,” the post continued. “When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man. Just last month, on Sept. 14, he turned 90, on the same day Brad and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. I will always treasure that he and I shared that date. Walter was more than Chekov. He was a writer, a teacher, a thoughtful man, and a loyal friend. To the fans who loved him for so many years, thank you. He loved you too. Rest well, my dear friend. Keep navigating a steady course.”

Three years ago, Hamas terrorists slaughtered more than 1,200 Israelis and citizens of 40+ other countries. They raped, tortured, maimed, and kidnapped as many people as they could.
Babies, children, moms, dads, the elderly—no one was spared.
We remember the victims of this horrific massacre, the worst atrocity committed against the Jewish people since the Holocaust, and the 2,400+ killed over the last three years.

At 6:29 a.m. (Israel time) on October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists launched a wave of horrific attacks on southern Israeli communities, the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.
It began at dawn, when Hamas fired over 5,000 rockets from Gaza into Israel, using the barrages as cover to breach the border. In the massive surprise onslaught, Hamas terrorists carried out unimaginable atrocities.
Around 1,200 people were brutally murdered, more than 4,800 were injured, and over 250 were kidnapped into Gaza.
Three years later, we will never forget the atrocities of that day.

Three years since our lives changed forever.
Three years since Hamas terrorists brutally murdered and kidnapped our brothers and sisters.
Three years, but we will never forget.
Remember October 7, 2023. 🕯️

Three years since October 7, 2023.
We remember the lives stolen by Palestinian Hamas. We honor the heroes. We carry the scars.
And still, we stand.
We rebuild. We live. We choose hope.

Milwaukee is well-known for its brewing heritage, but increasingly it's making a name for itself at the dinner table. Bloomberg's Five Top Tables has a few restaurants you should check out if you find yourself in the city. Ashley Novak explains bloom.bg/4dGsiLy bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
