I have come into possession of revised information and would now like to change my opinion.

"Is he ok?" is the new "Don't you think she looks tired?"

"You know, Commander, having seen a little of the 21st century there is one thing I don't understand. How could they have let things get so bad?" "That's a good question. I wish I had answer."

Just in case it keeps anyone else from diving down this particularly inane rabbit hole, as far as I can tell, there is no backstory or deeper lore to be found, no campaigns that I can find, or let's plays. Up until 4 days ago, Fartbuckle the goblin did not exist. #Fartbuckle

Just discovered the term CHOP, meaning CHat Oriented Programming, as a term for AI-assisted coding. My geek brain immediately inferred that developers who do that must be called ChOPpers.

Which I love because my two strongest associations for "Chopper" are - a sassy, homicidal, war-crime-ing droid and - an adorable anthropomorphic reindeer pirate-doctor. Thank you for coming to my TED talk

Has anyone scanned the "elevated position outside of the rally venue" for temporal residue?

At the second day of #LeadDevLondon . Had a great first day, particularly glad for the mini workshop on Managing, Mentoring,.and Coaching. Got a lot of clarity out of it. Also glad that I prioritised making a batch of beef jerky before the conference. :)

I'm back at the London LeadDev conference today, it's been too long since I made it. I'm looking forward to catching up with folks and getting to hear about what my peers have been up to. #LeadDevLondon

Hey folks, I'm hardly active on here anymore for reasons, and there's also good reasons to not be keen on following #Eurovision2024 but if you're looking for me and that particular kind of content, I'm over on the blue and elephant platforms.

Audio peeps, please advise, I'm looking for a wired (not wireless) audio microphone to use for conferencing and voice recording (like group podcasts, interviews etc...) what do you recommend that's under £100 please?

If you're on android they just turned on new data-collecting features that you'll have to opt out of. The settings are under "Ads privacy" two new ones which have been added and set to on by default: App-suggested ads and Ad measurement You should turn all of the options off.

I've found two paths to this setting: Settings -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Ads -> Ad Privacy Settings -> Google -> All Services -> Ads -> Ads Privacy Both of them are 5 steps deep, this is really dodgy behaviour, esp. for a default-on setting.

First it was Christopher Cross in Percy Jackson and now it's freaking Soul Coughing in Reacher, not even just showing up, the episode TITLE is a straight up call out. The universe conspires to show me my age in a dark mirror of sound.

New Theory: Wonka is part of the Schmigadoon! Cinematic Universe.

Percy Jackson episode 3 just used Arthur's Theme by Christopher Cross over the end credits. I only barely survived the new generation 'discovering' Kate Bush via Stranger Things, I really don't need to deal with the YA Hordes suddenly 'discovering' fucking Yacht Rock.

Because what's more 2023 than trying to emotionally regulate yourself with low-fi music while desperately waiting for someone to burn it all down? youtube.com/watch?v=CC_NDwdz…

That special kind of resentment when a company you've used for years has finally enshitified themselves to the point where have to switch. btw @Tesco are you *ever* going to sell eggs by the dozen again or have you decided that the 30% markup for 6 packs is too good to let go?

I'm pretty sure we have ai-assisted meeting transcription at this point. Which is awesome, but what I realllly want (it's probably very close) is tracking who's speaking, and having time stamps of each person's speaking. Oooooh the fun I could have with *that* aggregate data.
