What did this woman do to deserve this?
Absolutely nothing, apparently.
She was simply walking through downtown Guelph, Canada, with a friend.
In broad daylight.
Then, out of nowhere, another woman allegedly punched her in the temple.
The victim fell to the ground.
No argument.
No warning.
Just a sudden attack on someone going about her day.
Police say a 35-year-old woman was arrested shortly afterwards and charged with assault.
I watched the footage, and what bothers me most is how quickly an ordinary walk can turn into something terrifying.
Personally, I find this unacceptable.
Nobody should have to walk around wondering whether the next stranger they pass might suddenly become violent.
And yes, people are questioning why her friend appeared to run away.
But fear can make people react in ways they never expected.
What would you have done if you witnessed this? Would you intervene immediately or call the police first?
