finding all of my fics on here... that is FOUL I am 1000% ok with people downloading and sharing my fics but not feeding anything into ai or this garbage trying to sell them as audiobooks?? so so nasty

I’m genuinely tweaking rn Fanfic authors, please be aware there is a website 👉 ao3.life that is scraping fics from Ao3 and turning them into Ai audiobooks and selling them for profit They have an option to have your fics taken down but from what I’m seeing you have to provide personal info to “prove” the fanfics are yours to begin with (giving, phishing scam) and they claim they pay the authors, which is both untrue and ILLEGAL Nearly all my fanfics are on here I’m genuinely shaking I’m so pissed like what the FUCK is wrong with people 😭😭😭

not that it rly matters but after seeing a lot of the latest ao3 discourse on my TL.. I actually get a little thrill when I've checked a drive or list someone's rec'd and one of my fics has made it on there :') idk I find it joyful that someone enjoyed my work enough to want 1/2

to download it and share it. not saying anyone is in the right here but just for me personally I kind of assumed a lot of people already did that with loads of fics... and if anyone wants anything of mine in the realm of steddie feel free to ask and I'm happy to drop a pdf/epub!!

i view fanfic as an open conversation between me and the community. in that sense, when i post, i do want people to participate in the conversation. i don’t care about “fandom fame”, i just want to feel like i’m part of the community
