New Snatch splash screen, made with the Rive CLI ✨
Claude even redrew the logo to have more flexibility. It loops until the server loads, then plays the exit!

Claude writes about 90% of Claude Code's code.
From June to September, merged PRs more than doubled while the share reverted fell by more than 40%.
We wrote about how we changed code review to get there, and how to adopt it:

claude prompt to find your "aha moment magic feature".
without that aha moment you'll struggle a lot marketing your app
"you are a senior product designer who specializes in consumer mobile apps that blow up on tiktok, reels and shorts thanks to one visual feature. you know the mechanics behind faceapp (see yourself aged), lensa (your ai avatars), remini (a blurry photo restored), cal ai (photo of your meal → calories), picturethis (photo of a plant → its name), ikea place (a piece of furniture placed in your room in ar) and spotify wrapped (your data turned into a visual) inside out.
my app:
- name: [fill in]
- what it does (1 sentence): [fill in]
- target audience: [fill in]
- platform: [ios / android / web]
- current features: [fill in]
- what the user pays for: [fill in]
- constraints (team, budget, timeline, stack): [fill in]
- (i'll attach screenshots of the app if i have them)
goal:
find the one visual feature to add to my app so that a 10-second vertical video, with no voiceover and no text, makes people react: "that's insane, i need to try this". the success signal: dozens of "what's the name of the app?" comments.
the sound-off test. every idea has to pass these 7 filters:
- understandable in under 2 seconds, sound off, no captions
- a visible transformation on screen: a boring input becomes a spectacular output, in the same shot
- instant projection: the viewer thinks "i want to see what it does with my photo / my dog / my room / my data"
- minimal effort: one photo, one scan or one gesture. result in under 10 seconds
- the result is shareable: the user wants to post it themselves (viral loop)
- tied to the app's core value and leading to the paywall. not an isolated gimmick
- buildable today (generative ai, on-device vision, ar/lidar, haptics…) by a small team in a few weeks
mechanics to explore (get inspired, don't copy):
- transformation: age, stylize, restore, redecorate, "you as…"
- magic scan: point the camera at an ordinary object and the app reveals hidden info
- reveal: the user's data becomes a surprising visual
- bring to life: a static drawing or photo that animates, talks, moves
- ar projection: the result appears in the real room or on the real body
- future simulation: "you / your room / your account in 6 months if…"
- satisfying physical gesture: shake, tilt, blow, flip the phone
avoid:
chatbots, dashboards, text stats, onboarding, anything that needs a spoken explanation, any "wow" that lands after 3 seconds.
method:
step 1: generate 10 raw, varied ideas, one line each (mechanic + what the user gives + what they get).
step 2: score each idea out of 10 on 5 criteria: instant wow, sound-off clarity, urge to try it on yourself, link to monetization, feasibility. be ruthless: cut anything under 7 on sound-off clarity. show the result as a table.
step 3: for the top 3, detail:
- feature name + one-sentence pitch
- the video's first shot (0 to 1 s): exactly what we see
- a shot-by-shot storyboard for an 8 to 15 s video, no voice (screen recording + optionally a camera filming real life)
- the comment we expect to see en masse under the video
- the psychological trigger that makes people want to try it
- implementation: model or api, on-device or cloud, estimated cost per use, response time
- where to put the paywall without killing the wow (e.g. blurred preview, 1 free try)
- an mvp buildable in 1 week, then the full version
- risks: privacy, app store / google play rules, tiktok and meta ad rules, server costs if it blows up
step 4: recommend one single feature to build first, in 3 sentences. then give 5 first-shot ideas to test demand on video before writing any code (animated prototype in figma or after effects).
if important info about my app is missing, ask me at most 3 questions before you start."

A prompt to come up with a better prompt
Hi, I'm Felix. I'm an eng lead working on Claude. I love watching people take flight and do things they never thought possible.
We often describe that as "being more ambitious" when using AI, which is tricky advice to follow. I wrote a tutorial:

This works SOOO well.
Prompt: "Here a screenshot of my app's current UI. I need you to redesign it for the highest possible quality design. /design:design-critique Compare your designs adversarially against top examples on Mobbin (use MCP)
Aim for AAA minimalist, elegant, sharp, simple, beautiful, perfect"

I’d rather lick every button in a hospital elevator than spend another minute getting AI certifications. So I built this free tool to get certificates for you:
> Go to aicertified.free/
> Sign in for free with your email
> Make sure to use Google Chrome
> Open any listed certificate you want to get
> It will open the course in a new tab
> It might ask you to sign up for the Google certificate platform. That’s the only task you can do.
> Once you are signed in, click "Open in ChatGPT"
> Click “Always allow” when Chrome asks you
> It will open ChatGPT. Make sure it’s Codex
> Use GPT-6.1 Sol Medium (bottom right).
> Then simply hit “Send” on your pre-filled prompt. And you let it run.
To get the step-by-step with screenshots, go to ruben.substack.com/p/certifi…
Now your ChatGPT is taking the course… for you.
After finishing, all the certificates will appear in your 'Certificates' tab.
And I can add them all to my LinkedIn, fooling AI-obsessed HR. I just did it for my employee, Axelle:
1. Go to your profile (your name) on LinkedIn.
2. Click “Add section.”
3. Then “Licenses & certifications.”
4. Add all of the information necessary.
5. And repeat for all of the certifications!
I got 5 Google certificates in 41 minutes. I did not even touch my keyboard.
The Claude Certified Architect should worry you most. It sounds senior and authentic. But it’s still a multiple-choice assessment to get the certificate.
Certificates mean nothing when an AI agent does it on your behalf.
So stop collecting badges and actually start building things with AI.
That’s the only proof that counts is your skill.

Your app can be amazing.
But if the first 30 seconds suck, most people will never find out.
Here’s the onboarding we designed for productivity app 👀

guess how many taps it takes to cancel duolingo
15 ‼️‼️‼️
you might think adding an in-app cancellation flow increases cancellations.
but in reality, it can actually reduce cancellation rates by 10-15%
here’s how to do it:
1/ add a subtle cancel button. users should only find it if they’re looking (e.g., under “manage profile”)
2/ add a form asking the cancellation reason — show different flows depending on each user’s cancellation reason (trial-end, price, product)
3/ add 2-3 screens that emphasize lost progress ("you’ve already achieved 85% of goal X")
4/ if they’re on annual, offer a downgrade ("do you want to try monthly instead?")
5/ give winback discounts ("here’s 20% off so you don’t cancel")
test these flows and churn rates will drop 🤞🏻
